(@jbleslie : to clarify, those video tutorials are out-of-date — because, as dstillman wrote, this button / gear icon / actions menu has been removed in Zotero 5.0. But you can still access to your "settings", i.e. the "Preferences" from the "Edit" …

If I understand correctly, you'd like to hyperlink the in-text citations to the corresponding references in the bibliography. Zotero cannot do that, but a user (@cjac1) posted a macro here (I don't know if it's working correctly).

@chris.tampere : please don't double post.
-
@chris.tampere : we're waiting for someone who'd be willing to code that, and it's not "easy to do" : https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/5282/ and https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/comment/231542/#Comment_231542

Upgrade to Zotero 5.0.7. The reference to "openoffice.org"… what happens when you install the LO plugin from the Cite pane of the Zotero preferences (Edit->Preferences)? A report ID could be useful: https://www.zotero.org/support/reporting_probl…

Use the generic "collaborator" role if your purpose is to store and find the advisor. Collaborator can't be cited though, so if you need to display the advisor/supervisor in a citation/bibliography, please provide an example from a a style guide. ht…

One feature that was removed in the transition from v4 to v5 is the ability to change the note style from Paragraph to various headers. In v4, you could hit CTRL+1 (or 2, 3, etc) to change the style to the corresponding header. That feature is now g…

Ok. I had had the same problem. There's a difference between the data directory and the profile directory. I'm not sure to remember correctly but I think the data directory was migrated but not the profile directory and I had lost my prefs before ma…

Oh yes, indeed…

But what's happen when you click "Show Data Directory" ?

[it's documented there, as Dan wrote above :-)]

Is there a way to tell Zotero to keep my old citation keys as they are?No. I don't know if Better BibTeX can do that. @emilianoheyns ? Otherwise, what's happen if you configure the citekey generator and then import your file? https://github.com/…

@htsq : you can't modify this shortcut in 5.0, but it might be simplified in the future. For your information, there's a github issue where you can track the progress: https://github.com/zotero/zotero/issues/1181

@K.%20Vijayanth%20Reddy Uhm sorry, I read your question too quickly. They're stored in the prefs.js file of your data directory. Open the Zotero Preferences, "Advanced" pane, "Files and Folders" tab, "Show Data Directory" button.

Zotero Prefs: Windows/Linux: Edition -> Preferences MacOS: Zotero menu -> Preferences ZotFile Prefs: Tools -> Add-ons, then ZotFile "Options" button. In a next release, there should be a direct access via Tools -> Zotfile Preferences.
