@damnation Thank you SO MUCH!!! It seems to be working perfectly!!
-
@damnation Sure thing. Thanks for considering it! https://pastebin.com/Ph0v7Ubt
-
@adamsmith I know you COULD (technical skills), but would you have the time/inclination to help with these couple of modifications?
-
Thanks for the help @damnation. I'm not quite sure of how to make those changes, despite your instructions (it's me, not your directions!). I just learn better from doing myself WHILE watching someone else do it so they can explain as I go. Would yo…

Is it the macro at line 417 that would affect this?

@damnation Thanks for your help--I finally got those elements the way I want! However, there's one more tweak I need to make and it's the way book sections are fotmatted in SBL. SBL Edmonds, Radcliffe G. “Imagining the Afterlife.” Pages 551–63 in …

@damnation Ok, I got the CSL edited to show the full journal title in the bib and abbreviation in the footnotes. Could you tell me what to look for if I want to do the same with a book in a series?

Is this the right entry? https://mega.nz/#!7Z9mjA6Y!xLimzXCl7bAWVhra4OfVUkHvoFCeIhzgfIYpFoxhM90

I appreciate it. I'm having trouble figuring out how to make the change. I only know HTML and CSS--I'm a little out of my depth here!
-
Thanks! How do I find where this will affect the bibliography? I found where to make the change for the footnotes (if I wanted to do that), but I'm not sure where the biblio is. Is it not a separate container? (pardon me if I'm using the terminology…

Thanks @dstillman—I'll give it a shot and see how it goes.
-
@dstillman Perfect! I don't suppose there's any way to find/replace specific characters within a field, e.g., replace "&" with "and"?
-
@adamsmith @bwiernik Do you guys know if there is a forum discussion about making wholesale changes to a particular field, e.g., finding all entries published by a certain publisher to ensure consistency? Thanks.
-
That fixed it—thanks!!
-
@bwiernik Thanks! I'm going to go through an merge all the duplicates and see if that resolves the issue.
-
@adamsmith Thanks! Question—I have multiple subcollections in my library, which means many entries are duplicated. If I choose "My Library" how will I know which entry to use when there are multiples?
-
@adamsmith Yes, that worked with the example in the screenshot. Is the only solution then to transfer the contents of this doc to a new one? It's nearly 60 pages and Word is not the best at preserving formatting. However, I can't leave a handful of …
-
Thanks, @bwiernik , but that option has been unchecked and I still have the issue. It seems so random, which is why it's so confusing. I've considered using a custom .json file, but I'd rather not do that right now.

@adamsmith That's the way I've always done it before, but I didn't know if doing it this way would allow me to use the refresh option should I make changes to entries as I go, as with a footnote.
-
@adamsmith Ah, no—not yet. This is a stand-alone bibliography right now that will later be added to a dissertation. I updated some of the entries in the standalone and was going to start a new bibliography document from the updated version, but appa…
