@AbeJellinek Even if these webpages don't have machine-readable metadata, some of them have buttons to export, for example to REFWORKS and MENDELEY (e.g. https://minerva.usc.gal/entities/publication/9a4fd001-4717-428f-96a5-44812f8f3805). I thought…

I have just discovered another project of the Corporation for Digital Scholarship, Omeka. Attending to what they claim through the website: Omeka Classic is a web publishing platform for sharing digital collections and creating media-rich online exh…

Another example wher only a webpage is detected: https://jyx.jyu.fi/jyx/Record/jyx_123456789_100515

Or is it already implemented but I didn't find?
-
@mjthoraval @damnation Thanks both for your answers. I understand Zotero is a reference manager and the main goal of the metadata is to be used for citations, so current fields implemented are those in citation styles/CSL, such as in the link post…

I was going to ask for a functionality like in the table in next webpage: https://datatables.net/extensions/fixedcolumns/examples/styling/col_filter.html https://s3.amazonaws.com/zotero.org/images/forums/u6735168/sk1wp7ovtir5vcjieqbz.png or like h…

Then, my last question before would become if there is some way to ask to webpages with Dublin Core information for having it in a machine-readable format. May we say that Dublin Core not being machine readable is not useful at all?
-
The "dc" on that page stands for Dublin Core, not DataCite. I think you may (understandably) be getting the two confused. Indeed. Sorry. My fault. In any case, we might be able to start building a translator for relatively standard DSpace sites that…

Thanks. Anyway, I will continue posting these webs, even if this is not a Zotero issue. Some questions: -Are they wrong designed websites? -Is Datacite schema wrongly implemented in those webpages? - Isn't there some standard/ISO to use Datacite …

Another example, but in this case Zotero connector does not detect a journal article, but just a webpage: https://www.theseus.fi/handle/10024/875160

I haven't tested, but may I ask what happens if one item has many annotations associated? Expanding such item would show a row for each annotation? If that was the case, there would be some way/preference to choose non-displaying annotations (or onl…

@adamsmith Here, a report with a version: https://europass.europa.eu/system/files/2022-05/The_Netherlands_Referencing_Report[1].pdf I also would save manuals (for software or similar) either as reports or documents, and I think they deserve the ac…

+1 And in report, document, presentation... May it be solved by https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/121656/coming-soon-new-item-fields#latest?

+1 and ideally it would contain the time-date info when the tabs were opened, as a browser history.

Thank you @poettli, I hadn't found

+1 for @fabbraun @fred_dev @benitok comments. I would like to know how many Zotero users actually use numbers for tagging colors. And I would say more, for me it is a quite unfortunate feature, as one can press unvoluntarily a number in the keyboard…

@AbeJellinek Thanks for answering. I see in the Full Item page link (https://unbscholar.lib.unb.ca/items/568c48b7-9dbd-4bea-90ae-8154f3220524/full): dc.type master thesis and I believe this is enough machine-readable metadata marking the item as a …

Another plugin which could help (I'm not sure of understanding your goal) is https://github.com/diegodlh/zotero-cita

I believe the issue is that Zotero looks for DOIs at CROSSREF database, but this one is not registered on it (https://search.crossref.org/?from_ui=&q=10.34769/azkm-y326). But you can add the item with the Zotero Connector extension

I don't know if it already does, but it should exclude not only headers/footers, but tables, figures, margin comments... too

+1 to this. I was going to start a new discussion for completion of tags "not beginning with", as I have many tags structured in the way of @tim820 comment https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/comment/454096/#Comment_454096 (for example "R-package…

Excuse me. I didn't fully test this feature, as I am using Zotero 6. (I would delete/hide this conversation in the forums, but as I cannot delete even my own posts...)
-
With Zotero 6 Preferences you probably had configured 'Linked Attachment Base Directory' to the OneDrive folder. Have you set such setting (or an equivalent one) with Zotero 7?
-
I quite agree with @DWL-SDCA. @dstillman But Zotero isn't a generic PDF reader, and it doesn't really make sense for it to just be set as the system default unless you actually want to import every PDF you double-click on your system (product manua…

@mjthoraval One PDF Viewer tab is linked to the left and right panes that show information specific to that PDF file. So it would be confusing to show different PDF files in the same tab. Actually, split view should split not only the pdf views, bu…

I was thinking one way of allow different kinds of relations, would be, on one hand by implementing for directional relations, while on the other hand by allow to tagging relations.

@dstillman Actually, I have no reason to think Google offers any product without any data use purpose or any other gain. And I do not understand your last claim. You are using Google Crashlytics, which is a third-party service, as it would be any o…

@dstillman Hay you tried to use some Google Firebase Crashlytics alternative such as App Signal (https://www.appsignal.com) or Bugfender (https://bugfender.com)?

A huge thanks, @martynas_b!

Thanks a lot. It must be said it is another great improvement for Zotero. But, precisely, it also must be remarked the issues, such as that themes seem to have some glitches yet: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/121699/math-fonts-remain-dark-in…
