unfortunately I'm not on the Beta-Update channel and don't plan on switching. I will report after the next stable release, though.

thanks for you suggestion, typing actually selects the right locator. (both ch for chapter in english and k for Kapitel in german). I also created a Report ID, 111747070. does this mention here suffice, or do I need to open a new thread?

did you press "refresh" after changing the style, and/or activated auto-refresh in document preferences? also, only some citation styles support footnotes, like the Chicago Manual of Styles, but most use in-line references
