Thank you for your kind and prompt response, mronkko. I thought about it more & I am very happy to leave my $10 in your pot for further development & license costs. I didn't realize until today that we can now add/edit/save notes direc…

Just making a note here that Notes save just fine on my iPad with iOS 6.1, so apparently between the iPad OS and the version of TinyMCE in use, this problem is fixed.

I wonder whether we could have an update on the release of version 1.2, which apparently has been delayed. I just purchased Zotpad, but only after installation did it become clear that the main utility of the app in the 1.1 version is for people who…

I can confirm that there is some sort of problem saving a snapshot of that page. When I try (in FF 12 on Mac OS 10.6.8) to save a snapshot, this is the result -- an item with a snapshot icon appears in my Library -- the "rainbow wheel" spins …

Just posting back to note that links within the notes are fixed (since when I do not know, it's months since I tested). It would still be great, IMO, if links within the note editor would open the web page instead of having to create a report e…

I was wondering exactly the same things after watching the same demo, which offers a wonderful suggestion for using Zotero to organize which sources will be used in which sections of the high-level outline for a paper. It does indeed seem that a fea…

there is some sort of server problem this morning. I cannot access my groups online, I keep getting a "try again in a few minutes" message. Probably best to NOT try syncing until it's fixed. And probably best to back up your local library. …

I would think that docx and odt might be in the same ballpark, since the doc structure of both does include a plain-text component. But I"m just postulating as a tech consultant, i'm not a programmer ... wish i could help

okay, thank you for the info. I guess on important odt's I'll be liberal with the # of tags, and/or attach a note with keywords & phrases.

I understand that, thanks. I meant the toggle between grabbing a link vs. downloading a snapshot. Shift-click is the toggle.

hee hee found it already. Just posting back here in case some equally overwhelmed late-life student stumbles on my rambling post here: from the docs: "Holding down the Shift key while clicking the “Create New Item from Current Page” button wi…

Thank you SO much for your patience and clear responses. I'm trying to figure out how to save only links for many pages, have only so far found an all-or-nothing checkbox preference in the Preferences, but I am sure this must be in the docs and/or f…

EMBARASSED to say I had set a preference to put the library in a "zotero" folder inside my Documents folder. WOOPSie! Thanks so much for responses and please bear with me. I am trying to get up to speed with Zotero at the same time that I am carryin…

I'm in deep over my head, LOL

Nice thought! But this learning platform really has me stymied. The only FF plug-in that looked promising is Web2PDF Converter but the text on the page says it won't work on pages for which you must enter a password. I'm about 1/2 way through the 10…

sorry if i vented my frustration in a single solid-cap word. Really. I'll try to be totally calm from now on :-) I did not mean to shout at anyone in particular, only at my screen. I can't convert the whole website because of the platform it's …

Actually, this really doesn't work. Reason being, if I copy text that includes href links and paste into a standalone note, the links are converted to something weird, like: /jar:file://mce_host/jar:file://mce_host/jar:file://mce_host/jar:file:…

that's a great hint, I'll look at that later, it might be plenty sufficient for my purposes at the moment. thanks!!

I tried just now in the latest Zotero standalone, and the same thing is true. Clicking on a link in a standalone-note item does not open a web page in my browser. Neither does any combo of modifierKeys+click. When I ctrl-click to reveal the contextu…
