Oh... Ok then, my misunderstanding. I saw the annotation note added under the item as a new note, and made the false assumption that it was on the OS not in the DB. Good to know. Guess you get tired of so many misunderstandings :( You can close t…

My question is regarding annotations. I see that an annotation file is created. Is that file indexed by zot? In my case I would prefer not to have a file created at all, but just see the annotations in the viewer. If you create a file (indexed or n…

I used the 'hack' quite extensively. Each collection/folder has a note which contained nothing but what you might call 'bread crumbs' to the collection. I have several hundred collections. So having a set of notes which contain nothing but the locat…

Everything seems back to normal.

Yes, that's it regarding RIS etc. So, if there is no way to stop this from occurring I'll just delete all of my tags via the method you suggested. One work-around for me was to use the 'language' attribute under the 'Info' tab. Because I only work…

I've been using zot today without problems. Thus far issues seems to have resolved itself/themselves... thus far. I'll do the upgrade and follow the listed instructions should I see further issues.

I will follow your instructions for restarting when I get back, but was using it now before I have to leave and got another error. This time when creating a new collection. 354361172

My collection structure is extensive. Probably 250 or so collections/folder, with 3830 items.
-
Yes, restarts are taking longer. I'll follow your direction when I get back.

No errors/relocations/crash for a bit now. I have to leave, will be gone for several hours. Is there a backup or something I should do when I get back to secure my years of work? I do regular system backups, so I'm speaking of a Zot specific proced…

The same error is repeating... [JavaScript Error: "An error has occurred. Please restart Zotero. You can report this error by selecting "Report Errors…" from the Help menu."] [JavaScript Error: "this.crash@chrome://zotero/content/xpcom/zotero.js…

Another error when using the Ctl key to locate an item within the collection hierarchy 170220831

oh... just came back with a message 'No errors found in database'.

Should I restart then run integrity, or run it with the error/start message still present - the latter is what I did. Still running

running integrity check now. How long does it take?

1507156180 Here is the latest. Zot stops with and error and says to restart. Sub collections are moving to odd locations randomly. For this error I used the control key to find where a file was located, then the error occurred.

Fantastic! I had no idea. Thx for your help

Yes, but I have a file full of DOIs and need an automated way to import these. Did I miss something? The link you provided is only one at a time, right?
-
Thx for the link. Congrats on delivering these upgrades to the community! Your work is greatly appreciated.

Is there a placed to see what will or maybe included in the next release?

It would be VERY useful to be able to move back/forward in order to follow your 'breadcrumbs' when traversing collections. When manually pursuing the many collections you more often than not want to go back a few steps or to the beginning. As it is …

That checkbox is unchecked in my case and I recently ended up with hundreds of tags which completely overran my tagging system. So, in my case that unchecked box simply did not stop autotagging. What do you mean by an example URL? If this is too ha…

I agree with adamsmith. Using the 'a' seemed to work for me with some exceptions. For example while searching for and re-indexing the partials, I found other partials which were not on the list. There were other exceptions, but I have to conclude t…

I placed a comment on a earlier request the same as this one. I used the work-around method of finding unindexed items as suggest by Adam Smith in "FInding unindexed items" on April of 2009. This method did not work for me. If I used a period, I g…

I agree that this is needed and 'appears' that it would be easy to add. Can someone on staff state if this request/addition is on the radar at all for inclusion?

Thx for commenting. I will be purchasing the X1 tool. I've noticed that as I add full articles and several books to Zotero that the addition of new entries is slowing down. Indexing whole books is pushing things I suspect. So I began to wonder how t…

Thank you. That is a helpful/useful feature. Yea, if many folks are using the Timeline then I guess that's a low priority.

Yes, thx. Date Added is useful or using the 'Day' in conjunction with Date Added, but I still have more items entered on a day than I can see (ie many items are truncated) However yes, using a saved search would be useful. I'll go that route. Thx f…

I'm very impressed with you guys trying work this out. I too have hundreds of folders and various docs. I'm doing the one-by-one important. If I were very disciplined over the years and had a set-in-stone hierarchy as well as tags for each category,…
