Parallel citations would be like: State v. Brennan, 126 N.M. 389, 970 P.2d 161 (1998). (That would be AALL?)
-
It's a kludge, but you may be able to force the sort order by entering the name as "Al-Khatib" (with the quotes). Failing that, editing at the last stage sounds like a sensible move.
-
I've tested with the name "Al-Khatib" in single-field mode and two other two-field names, first in the citation processor by itself, then in a clean installation of Zotero 4.0.8, and again under 4.0.8 with the processor patch plugin installed. For …

With a simple text of the processor here, it looks like adding suffixes does not interfere with position evaluation ("first", "subsequent", "ibid", "ibid-with-locator", "near-note"). Certainly it should not cause a problem. The first thing to confi…
-
@Simon: Great, I'll take it from here. @Bonnie: I should be able to provide you with a plugin that will step past the problem. But before that, could you check whether the manuscript contains any parallel citations. The error is triggered by a weir…
-
The "blob.formatter" message is coming from the citation processor. It's possible that it's triggered by your input from the document. @Bonnie: To avoid confusion I'll let Simon finish before jumping in. When he gives the word (and if the problem h…

@dmichon: Thanks for you patient and careful followup. @Simon + @dmichon: Sorry about the confusion caused by my comment above. I've amended it with a note to look down-thread for better information from Simon.

I'm able to confirm the bad sort in 4.0.8. The sort behaviour for this case has apparently been fixed in a later version of the citation processor. Things will come right in a later Zotero release, but for now you can install the processor patch pl…

@ann hindley: Could you confirm how the data is entered? If "BBC News" and "AC Neilsen" are entered as creators (Author etc) in single-field mode (as mronkko says), the sort should come out correctly. Name particles (as described by Gracile) should …

Re multiple publishers, there is a note on a processor extension in MLZ/CSL-m here: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/30660/mlz-multiple-publishers-places-of-publication/#Comment_160467 (Defering to DWL-SDCA on the question of whether and whe…
-
That's a fair question! There are a couple of additional attributes on the cs:group element related to this. Confusion is natural: the documentation for CSL-m does need an update for this and some other features. Here's what the code would look like…
-
Thanks. I'll act on that in a new release soon.
-
@ronank: Would a more accurate and informative warning message in MLZ have helped you to avoid confusion?
-
It's certain that Zotero doesn't ship a font specification to the word processor, so there must be an explicit setting to Arial (or whatever bad font you're seeing) in there somewhere. If you have set the font in the "Default" style to Calabri, anot…
-
@naychi: Try updating MLZ and see how it goes. The problem was not caused by switching between Statute and Gazette. The best I can figure is that Publisher (and probably Publication Date) were included in the Gazette type at some point, and found i…
-
@naychi: I'll prepare a fix for this today, and post again. What seems to have happened is that you had a Statute item, and changed it to Gazette. This should work smoothly, with a warning that some fields (including Publisher) will be deleted. Si…

@mbruffey: In case it helps, you can run Chrome etc against MLZ for Firefox in the same way you would with Standalone by visiting about:config and setting extensions.zotero.httpServer.enabled to "true".
-
That's it. (I've been offline with teaching, committees, and a mixup over laptop power supplies.)
-
In CSL-m there is a "skip-words" locale element that can be used to override the processor's hard-coded skip-list. I guess this will be a topic for xbiblio-devel.
-
@adamsmith: I'll follow your lead on additions.
-
As Rintze says, there is no standalone version of MLZ at present. You can use MLZ for Firefox to support Chrome browsing, though. Type "about:config" in the address bar, then search for this entry:extensions.zotero.httpServer.enabledClick on the ent…

I'd like to back up and try something very simple. In the style try setting:prefix="(‎" andsuffix=")‎" That is, without reversing the parens. If this works (touch wood), we can move on to the ordering issues within the…

David, If you could take a look at the thread linked above, and indicate the preferred format for LTR cites in RTL text in your environment, it will help me to get a handle on the requirements. Many thanks!
-
Have you tried setting the year-suffix explicitly where it is required (both in the citation and in the bibliography)? The code would look like this: When it is set explicitly, the processor will not try to guess where it belongs, which seems to be…
-
The initial question would be whether there is an "issued" date in the bibliography. To be sure I understand correctly, do you require that the disambiguation suffix attach to another date in the citation, or that it not be used at all for citation…
-
We'll need to reproduce that, I think, before we can say why it's happening. Can you post both the style you're using and sample items that show the fault to http://gist.github.com ?
-
The plugin doesn't touch the font selection or style settings of the document, and it's not feasible (or desirable) to extend it in that way. You should be able to control the font used in footnotes in the word processor, though, via the default sty…

I want format citation as below: (سيسيسيس,1:2001)The discussion in the other thread is about parens. This is an additional RTL issue, which will (I think) raises some further problems. The citation form you want is appropriate to RTL sources cited…

Sorry for the sporadic responses here. Before I attempt the next fix, I'm musing about the problem of mixed text. See this thread: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/30429/?Focus=159443#Comment_159443 The selection of RTL vs LTR on the citati…

Oops, sorry, I misspoke. The fix can be tested in both MLZ and Zotero, and when eventually complete, it will filter through to mainstream Zotero in the normal course of events.
