Just in case it was missed upthread: On the output side, there is a hook in the citeproc-js processor (@bibliography/entry) that can be used to wrap a bibliography entry in arbitrary markup. So the infrastructure is in place, as far as the Zotero CS…
-
The quickest way to find the cause will be to make a copy of the ODT, then divide it into two halves, check which one fails, and divide that again. Rinse and repeat until you have the problem pinpointed, then go back and make the repair in the origi…

That is exactly what the "count" attribute is for. For a code sample, you can look at cell.csl

I have an idea in this line that may serve as a shorter-term solution. It is not totally fiddle-free, but it is intuitively straightforward, and could be implemented via a plugin. To keep things simple, we can apply a unique tag to references cited…

MLZ just follows Zotero on the attachment behavior (and I'm not completely sure offhand how the logic of double-click-to-open is set up), so that would be an item for general discussion in Zotero.
-
No plans to change it, no. If it were made a property of the style, we would then need to cast separate styles for each class of variants, which would add to the maintenance burden. Implementing language profiles should give the best of both worlds…
-
That's right. The default language settings that a document receives from MLZ can be changed through the word processor plugin, via the Languages tab in Document Preferences. Changes to the settings in the document do not affect the default settings…

Very good, sorry for assuming that was a literal test case. For a broken sequence, I do get the cite numbers without spaces, though (again in the Nature style). 1,4,5
-
In the Nature style, a citation to bibliography items 1, 2 and 3 should come out as a range. 1‒3 Are you entering the citations in the document as a single citation, or as a series of separate citations with one reference each? On fonts, Zotero doe…

The technical argument for reversing the change linked from the thread is that as currently written, the behaviour specified for text-case="capitalize-first" and text-case="sentence" seems to be identical. (Sorry for not spotting that when the link…
-
Um ... no. Would that be sensible behavior? If so, and if we know what "the word is lowercase" means, citeproc-us could be taught to do it.
-
The language could be clarified by changing item (1) to read something like: For fields that are entirely in uppercase (i.e. that contain no lowercase letters), the first character in the field remains capitalized, and all other letters are lowercas…
-
As adamsmith says, that's expected behaviour. It's not specific to MLZ, but a feature of text-case="sentence" as implemented in CSL processors generally. The problem is that there is no way to determine which capitalized words in a title are proper …

Others may have something to say about your use case, but as far as batch editing of the Zotero records goes, this is probably what you are looking for: https://www.zotero.org/support/dev/client_coding/javascript_api#examplebatch_editing You'l…

@westurner, You're preaching to the converted. People involved in Zotero development see the benefits of linked data, and of passing structured metadata from document to citing document to newly authored document. It's only a question of implement…

Gabrielle, Hi. I'm the maintainer of Multilingual Zotero (MLZ). As Dan Stillman says, it's likely that you had MLZ installed previously, and that your fresh installation of official Zotero is blocking because the database format of the two is a lit…

There has been a lot of discussion about integrating RDFa in citation and bibliography output over the past few years. Apart from the need for parsers (now presumably cleared), the sticking point is the problem noted by aurimas: the elements display…
-
Nope, that's what you'll have to do. You might check the metadata quality returned from the various services you have access to, before digging into the work in earnest.
-
This is unlikely to be implemented in Zotero itself, but it could be done through the Abbreviation Filter. https://www.zotero.org/support/plugins
-
Jack: what are you using the Extra field for? (The mapping is extra -> note, and that should work in a style.)
-
This might be best treated as a feature of jurisdiction, as in MLZ, with input limited to a controlled list of identifiers. That's a tall order, since someone would need to set up and maintain the identifiers for individual juridictions; but shared …
-
@mim0p26N: Depending on your requirements, MLZ might be useful. It has features for citing legal materials from multiple jurisdictions, and an implementation of the "Bluebook" style that covers a little more the detail than the standard CSL/Zotero s…

Thanks for this (relatively) happy news. After my last post above, I prepared a version of RTF/ODF Scan that scrubs all Scrivener-supplied formatting information from the file on conversion. After testing it, kithairon reports that, although this a…

Thanks for the reminder. To be honest, I had forgotten.

If the document has a bibliography, that will slow things down. It can be inserted at the final stage, so it can be removed during editing.
-
Ulrich, Sorry to put you to extra trouble, but if you can paste the diff to http://gist.github.com and post the link back here, it will be easier for someone to apply it automatically to the original sources.

The quoted text is from the CitationStylist that documents the Abbreviation Filter. @jsh.moore: Those instructions are for a plugin intended for use with Multilingual Zotero (MLZ). If you are using official Zotero, they would not apply. If you are …

Good idea. I'll try to get this in place soon.

Yes, a use-last="1" attribute on cs:institution should do it, independent of whether abbreviations are available.

Thanks for reporting these. Both issues should be fixed in the latest update.
