I can set that up for you. Can you post a link to the OSCOLA guide that has a citation sample (not sure if it's in the main guide or a supplement these days).
-
Dan will have a more complete answer, but the only way I know to make that happen is to serve the CSL files with a content-type header of application/vnd.citationstyles.style+xml. I don't think it's possible to customize the headers applied by the G…

I don't have strong feelings about where the Zotero program files should be placed, but one small note concerning @adamsmith's comment above: the problem with this is that you need to run Zotero as sudo to update it, which isn't ideal if you can avo…

Pending confirmation, it looks like the intuition immediately above was correct: I've been able to reproduce the error by setting the database schema version to that used in the Jurism 4.0 series. You should be able to recover by renaming those two …
-
En route to the office now, but one more q that might be dispositive. In your Zotero folder, do you find files "jurism.sqlite" and "abbrevs-filter.sqlite"? (if so, rename them and try running Jurism again)
-
Thanks, I'll play with that setting too. One other question that might be relevant: which plugins do you have installed, and what are their versions?
-
Ah. Two further questions to get ready for more testing tomorrow. First, in Zotero, when you do Preferences -> Advanced -> Files and Folders, where is your Zotero data folder located -- in the default localtion, or in a custom location? Second…

Okay, those would be the normal steps for installing and running the program. I'll need to try harder at reproducing the fault. The Mac OS machine is at work, I'll try again tomorrow. Meanwhile just one more question, to confirm. Zotero is not runn…

@yunusong: The top post in this very old thread is from a user that already had Juris-M installed and running, but was getting an error when attempting to run after an upgrade/reinstall. I assume that is not your problem. I can't reproduce that err…

The config is here: https://github.com/zotero/zotero-standalone-build/blob/master/config.sh

I've never seen this error, although I have the program files for Jurism (which works the same as Zotero for this) under /opt. I was curious, so I just checked, and the /opt folder on my system is owned by root:root, but the program files (in /opt/J…

I pulled the new code into Jurism and gave it a try this afternoon, with legal references entered in GD, then exported, then refresh/imported in LibreOffice. It worked a treat, with all extended fields intact and functional. (:thumbs-up:)
-
... and right on cue, it looks like the document import/export feature has landed in the latest Zotero Beta, soon after adamsmith's post.

Allen & Overy & Ernst & Young ... ?

Please follow adamsmith's guidance above, and use https://hastebin.com to share code here. We can't work from code samples pasted directly into forum posts.

What is the order of the items in the bibliography?
-
Yes, just joins of ",", "&", and "-" currently. Was just thinking of recognizing "and" plus the localized term. Verbal ranges seem too far a stretch - have there been requests for that?
-
The first "pair" is surely just a result of normal disambiguation. The second should be symmetric, with a (different) initial for each Kvale - but that assumes that a given name is set for that author in both items.
-
Thanks for this note. We'll wait for feedback from other quarters, but I think this can be done in the processor without too much trouble - possibly in a language-sensitive way.
-
@liam.mchugh.russell Thanks for flagging this, I'll update the standard styles. While I have you, could I ask you to try out a new workflow I'm trying out for style testing? If you join the public group JM Style Tests, you should be able to create …

Also, where is the Zotero database located - on a network drive or a local disk?
-
The Zotero data folder should not be placed in Dropbox, because the zotero.sqlite database file can be corrupted if it is accessed by more than one instance of Zotero (even at different times). The data folder should be on a local drive, and Zotero …
-
@keith.fellers Just to be sure, have you installed the Zotero program on your computer?
-
The citation processor can track the first footnote where an item was cited (in note styles only), but beyond that, searching in the word processor is the way to go.
-
sachama may need to clarify: the question could be read in several ways: * to list the pages of a book that have been cited in the document with Zotero * to insert a list of cited pages into a citation (answered above) * to get a list of page number…

Does item.noteTitle work better on the notes?
-
What I have sometimes recommended to students on Mac OS and Word when they encounter speed issues is that they install Parallels, Windows, and the Windows version of Office, and run Zotero + Word in that. It sounds bizarre, but Word for Mac is a dif…

As @adamsmith mentioned, advanced search (in the same library) will work for it as well.
-
@mvwestendorp: Probably best to start a separate thread for the ECLI issue in Zotero. Handling in Z would probably be the first thing to resolve, but chez Jurism, ECLI is a very important identifier for law, and I would be happy to take a pull reque…

@dstillman: Thanks for this note, Dan - I didn't understand that rather important difference.
