A question first: were you getting this error in sync failures before installing MLZ, or is it a new symptom?
-
Haven't tried Zotero 4.0.26, but with MLZ it works okay (i.e. there is no extraneous period). Testers: here is the data for the item.
-
In any case, though, you aren't likely to get full details for citing an ICJ judgment from an ISBN repository. These really need a dedicated site translator - which would be much easier to constrict if the ICJ offered an API for their metadata ... …

@ikarus84: If you update the patch plugin gadget, it should now ignore that trailing space.
-
Perhaps our code should account for that, and ignore trailing spaces. That might help avoid confusion. @adamsmith?
-
I loaded that style to Zotero 4.0.26 with the patch plugin, opened a word processor document, entered the same reference twice, and gave the second one a prefix of "Vgl." The output is: Vgl. ebd. Is that the result you see?
-
I've run a test with Zotero 4.0.26 and the current processor patch plugin using the Chicago Full Note style, as suggested by adamsmith above. With "cf." as the prefix on an ibid cite in the word processor, I get "cf. ibid", and with "my cf." I get "…

We'll need to test, then. There isn't a link to a style or a style name in the discussion above. Can you either post your style code to http://gist.github.com, save it was a Public Gist, and post the link back here, or indicate which style in the Zo…

The citation processor was apparently not upgraded in the Zotero 4.0.26 release (the citeproc-js version is still 1.0.543), so you'll still get the same behavior. The processor patch plugin should work, but only in Firefox (not Standalone). If you'…

Sorry for the long delay in getting to this! If you install the latest MLZ (4.0.26m500), update the MLZ OSCOLA style, and update the Abbreviation Filter for good measure, things should come out correctly. I've posted a sample of the input layout on…

The data would still need to be shipped, though. It's not too bad at the moment: the jurisdiction bundle is only 240 kilobytes; but a scalability issue looms on the horizon.
-
I just ran an ECHR reference through the CSL Edit view, and ... it came out correctly abbreviated. That was very good to see. Multilingual variants of the Jurisdiction and Court fields can be added manually, but I would like to provide variants aut…
-
I've added the ECHR and its sections to the LRR, and made a fresh MLZ release that recognizes the new data: http://fbennett.github.io/legal-resource-registry/coe.int/index.html If anything should be changed or added, just give a shout.
-
It could be set up to remember past entries (as Zotero's creator input fields do), but then there would be less incentive for people to complain about missing entries - which it actually valuable as a way of feeding the identifier registry. No need…

To get things rolling with legal style development, the first priority is really to get modular support working in the processor. There are a bunch of problems to solve there. As a minimum we'll need: A hook by which the processor can acquire style …

MLZ should now be level with Zotero 4.0.26. Meanwhile, I've made a small change to the behaviour of the creator labels. When a creator is open for editing, clicking on the label will close the field, as it does for the others. Clicking on the label…

@jsmith967: Have you tried exporting from Scrivener in Rich Text Format (RTF), opening the RTF file in LibreOffice, and saving it in ODT? We've been told that is more reliable than direct export of ODT from Scrivener. (For migration of live referen…

That's the surplus space occupied by the open field. That extra space appears on every field when opened (on my system, at least), but the Court and Jurisdiction labels are behaving a little differently from the others - they top-align, instead of c…
-
Ah. It wasn't a Mac thing, the label borders were just not being disabled when no languages were present. I've fixed that, and made some adjustments to align the menuing behaviour on creators and ordinary fields. Looks like the remaining issue is t…
-
Oh, if no languages are defined, the labels shouldn't change on hover. I'll look into the Mac CSS, and test on a local machine.
-
The tabbing issue has been fixed in the latest MLZ release.
-
Sorry for the delay in responding. Unfortunately, EBSCO Host reports that that item is not available to my university.
-
"Tomorrow" took a couple of months to arrive, but here's a proper response. The Abbreviation Filter now ships with embedded copies of the abbreviation lists, and they can be installed to any style using a pulldown menu in the popup view. This facil…

Here is a rundown of small adjustments to the release: Issue (4) above is fixed. MLZ restricts the implicit panel rewrite on item.save() to the creator fields. It's a small performance tweak to keep the panel from becoming sluggish if it contains ma…

Thanks for these pointers. I'll work on smoothing these out. Item (4) is obviously top priority. I uncovered a bug in item type switching this morning, caused by some early, unnecessary MLZ code. My readjustments after removing it were obviously not…

The first question would be whether the API will yield structured metadata suitable for generating citations. The FAQ gives details of the composition of the identifiers, and of URLs that yield various views of the documents themselves, but we'll ne…

Fixed - thanks for reporting!

That will do it, if the database was empty. In case others come by this thread, the following steps can be used to revert a database that had useful entries before the MLZ install: Be sure your data is backup upBe sure your MLZ data is syncedFind t…

Yeah, I looked at the ECLI site awhile ago, and it seemed to contain only rough text descriptions of each jurisdiction. Looking more closely, I see that identifier lists have been provided (in text form) by France, the Netherlands, Finland, and Slov…

@alexanderschuster: Leveraging the ECLI identifiers would be the right thing to do. If they cover courts down to the trial level it will be particularly nice. Is there a place where I can acquire the full set of institutional identifiers? @Gracile:…
