On style parameters, see the CSL Specification. On item-level override methods, the CSL processor (which is my end of things) recognizes a "static-ordering" flag if it is set on names in its input. Whether and how it is set would be an issue for th…

I've opened a thread for feedback on the new name parser design here.

Actually, there is something you can test locally before that. Export the item (as above), then re-import it, and check to see if the newly imported item shows the same buggy behaviour. If it does fix it, don't delete the buggy item; there are some…

Sarala, I haven't been able to reproduce that (yet). Could you export the data for the item as Bibliontology RDF, paste it to http://gist.github.com, save as a Public Gist, and then post the URL back here? With the same item data, I may have better…

https://github.com/zotero/zotero/pull/515 in Zotero proper (probably unmodified by Frank) Yeah, I haven't touched @aurimas' work there. MLZ will continue to shadow Zotero on this score.
-
Yep. The heuristics applied to particles by the processor are too loose to be satisfactory. I was fretting over better solutions, didn't hit on anything solid, and the issue slipped away. Around the time of @joehill's first post, I received a nice …

It was a cut-and-paste from the Web view of the item. That drops (or doesn't display) the namespace attributes in the header; once those were restored, and the literal tags for italics were replaced with entities, the item loaded normally. I'm prett…

Okaaaay ... We can also take this from the other end, so to speak. I'll work up a test version of the Zotero client that reports out some details on the punctuation suppression steps. If we trace the steps it performs when succeeding on our machine…

That's very good to hear! The murmuring sound you might hear in the distance is a collective word of thanks from MLZ users.

Try with the latest (4.0.26m507). I haven't tried to reproduce your menuing issues yet; let me know if those bugs persist in this release.
-
I can reproduce the crash, and there are other bugs. It's not handling entries that have variants on other creator fields correctly. More soon ...
-
A fix is now up for (1), in version 4.0.26m506. I'm not sure about (2) and (3) - the screenshots posted are coming out very tiny, and I can't quite make out the detail. If you're posting them at full size, possibly another service (maybe http://img…

Updating the client should fix it now. If you spot any other problems, just give a shout.
-
Oh, that's not good. I can reproduce this immediately. I'll take a look, should have a fix out soon.

It's not a solution, but I found that I could move too-tall windows with Alt + left-click (holding the mouse button down grabs the whole popup). That's on Linux, there will be something similar for Windows and Mac. Not a solution, as I say - but I k…

Yes, it's a test of the item locale. It works like any other conditional:

Coming late to the party here. I agree that there should be a solution, and feel everyone's underlying concern that the medicine not be worse than the disease. There is a lot of this kind of thing in legal referencing, and I've played with various …

If all that's needed is to swap in other-language term names, CSL-m (the schema used in MLZ styles) has a locale conditional that can be used for that (I see that it's not covered by the CSL-m schema description [oops], but there is an example under…

@adamsmith: It's in your hands; I'm stumped on this one.
-
That should do it. Dan, what does it show for plugins? That's about all I can figure for a cause.

The style came through fine, no problems there. The RDF for the item was broken in a bunch of ways (it looks like it was copy-pasted from a browser view of the RDF, which omits a bunch of stuff). I fixed it up, though, and imported the data, and ag…

I think the idea is that suggestions posted to the forums all get into the mix, but there is a sticky thread for suggesting field revisions in the next major update. This may already have been suggested there, so a trawl through the postings would b…

Thinking about it, publisher/publisher-place probably is a better fit indeed - can imagine a piece being first displayed in one location, then ending up in an archive somewhere else. It wouldn't be good to drop one of those pieces of information.
-
I've applied for a change to the style. When it is picked up by a member of the CSL team, the force capitalization will go away for legislation items.
-
Would it be too much of a stretch to use Archive and Archive Location there? It looks like they are available in the CSL mappings.
-
Yep, that's what I have here, but it isn't showing the period in either of those styles. To look into this more closely, I think we'll need to have the exact data and the style that you are using. You can export the item with right-click in the cent…

If you will be supporting use of the styles by the student community locally, you will have the best experience if you maintain them locally. The learning curve is not steep - and there is a good chance that the Zotero Style Repository already conta…

Thanks are due from this end, too, for your report. That bug has been lurking in MLZ forever - there was an old comment in the code about exactly this error, with a question mark over whether it had actually been resolved. MLZ multilingual fields no…

The MLZ bug should be fixed now. If you still get a sync error after updating the client, post again and we'll look further.

Answering my own question here: the error is definitely an MLZ bug. Working on a fix for it.
