Could there be some witchcraft afoot here... I deleted the zotero directories both in Program Files and Program Files (x86), restarted and tried again with the same error message...

I have the same problem but not the files bencekd mentions anywhere on my drive. Can I just back up my library (on another pc) and delete the entire zotero catalogue structure? Or something else..?
