Can you provide a Debug ID for trying to install?
-
@drhere: Yes.

(Please start new threads for new issues. I've moved this to a new thread.) But same answer: See Zotero Toolbar Doesn't Appear and the platform-specific steps linked from there, and if you're still having trouble, let us know exactly what you tried…

If you're using the same Zotero data directory, an attachment wouldn't go missing unless you deleted it outside of Zotero. If you're using a different computer, files might not have synced from the computer where they were added. A couple hundred f…

It really is explained precisely on the linked page. If there's a specific line you're not understanding, you should quote it and explain what you don't understand.
-
Read the first line on https://retorque.re/zotero-better-bibtex/installation/ You seem to have misread it. It's not saying you need to use Firefox. It's saying you have to do it differently if you are using Firefox.
-
As I say, it's due to anti-bot measures of the site, so it's going to depend on how many items you save at once, and possibly your current IP address, geographical location, or other factors. We're working to change how Zotero saves attachments to t…

@cecile.engrand: The file you sent imports fine here. Try resetting your translators from the Advanced → Files and Folders section of the Zotero settings, restarting Zotero, and trying again.

We can refund a charge you just made if you email storage@zotero.org, but note that this doesn't have anything to do with storage, and no error message would have suggested that. But again, you should try disabling Grammarly. @adomasven might have …

I'm afraid this is a macOS bug, so the best we can suggest is to try rebooting in Safe Mode, as it mentions in the linked instructions. We've never heard of a case where it wasn't possible to fix this by removing the app from Applications, restartin…

You should try disabling Grammarly.

You're just at your file-storage quota. You'd be getting a warning about that on every sync in the desktop app as well. I'm not sure why it's showing "Unknown error" on iOS, though — we'll fix that.
-
That doesn't show a save attempt. Can you try again, and make sure you start logging before the save attempt? What does the error message say?

[JavaScript Error: "line.replace is not a function" {file: "chrome://zotero/content/xpcom/translation/translate_firefox.js line 425 > eval" line: 212}] If you don't mind, can you email the file in question to support@zotero.org with a link to thi…

Thanks. It looks like this was done by Better Notes, which has now been fixed by the developer to use a safer method.

Make sure you're running the latest version of Monterey or update to a newer version of macOS.
-
As I say above, in a future version, we'll be making it possible to share a web library URL right from the desktop app, which will allow you to quickly share links to synced files with anyone in your group. But if you're asking for the ability to sh…

It depends on the site. For ScienceDirect, you'd need to be using Zotero 7, currently in beta. Other sites may also have anti-bot protections that would block PDF downloading from the app from working. Can you provide a Debug ID from Zotero for an …

Can you provide a Report ID after triggering this? Are you running any third-party security software? Something seems to be preventing Zotero from opening the standard OS file browser.
-
Zotero will try to download both gated and open-access PDFs for items added by identifier, but to download gated PDFs you'd need to either be on a network where you have direct access or use a VPN. A web-based proxy won't work — only the Zotero Conn…

Your last Debug ID shows a new document being created in OneDrive. Can you provide another Debug ID for creating a new document and trying to insert a citation after making sure the file is stored on the local disk and saving to OneDrive is disabled?
-
It wouldn't have had anything to do with existing items in the library. Zotero gets the title from metadata embedded in the file. It's possible you were just dragging an old copy by mistake, or maybe you did something that caused the metadata in the…

You're just clicking Add Note instead of Add/Edit Citation, and then not closing it properly. Press Esc to close that — don't just click behind it, which leaves it open — and then click Add/Edit Citation.

@cirrick: You'd have to say more.
-
That's a message from macOS and really just means what it says. You should delete Zotero from Applications and reinstall it from the download page. Your data won't be affected.
-
Can you provide a Debug ID for Zotero startup through a couple minutes of that progress bar, using the "Restart with Logging Enabled…" option?
