If you see this again, make sure it happens after disabling any plugins you're using. That's the most likely cause here.
-
OK, it looks like this happens if you use a phrase search in "Everything" mode within a collection. We'll fix that in Zotero 7. Thanks for reporting.
-
It's not clear what you're referring to, but if you're looking at documentation on this site, that's all going to be referring to the actual Zotero app that you download and run on your computer. You can generate a bibliography from the online libra…

That's never been the correct way to save to Zotero from Google Scholar or any other supported site, and it's no longer possible due to changes in Chrome: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/comment/466053/#Comment_466053

Can you provide a screenshot of how you’re opening Zotero and where you’re seeing this message? This isn’t a normal thing that people have reported. Have you used Zotero on this computer before? What exact macOS version?
-
(Please start new threads for new issues — the thread you posted to isn't related. I've moved this to a new thread.) Can you provide a Debug ID for reproducing this?
-
Again, this has nothing to do with Zotero, and it's not any sort of general problem that would affect the millions of people who use Zotero. It's some sort of permissions or filesystem problem on your computer.
-
That'd be a problem on your system, not anything related to Zotero. We're not able to provide general Windows guidance here, so beyond uninstalling (including deleting that entire "C:\Program Files (x86)\Zotero" folder if necessary), you'd have to a…

You can right-click on the reader tab and choose Duplicate Tab, open the different sidebar tabs in each, and then switch between the reader tabs. That will at least preserve your scroll positions. But no, these are different tabs within the sidebar,…

That's not an error. You'll need to say what the actual problem is that you're experiencing. See Steps to Reproduce for the kind of description we need.
-
Not sure what you mean by that. What's the exact error you're receiving? Can you share a screenshot?
-
You're looking at the wrong folder then. Be sure to follow the instructions precisely.

[JavaScript Error: "Collection 307 not found for item 1/HF5PINPA" {file: "chrome://zotero/content/xpcom/data/item.js" line: 5354}] Have you tried restarting Zotero? If it still happens after that, check your database integrity from the Advanced → F…

Unless I'm misunderstanding, that just sounds like View → Show Items from Subcollections?

Trying closing Zotero, going to your Zotero profile directory, opening prefs.js in Notepad, and deleting the extensions.zotero.pane.persist line.

Customize the citation and use Omit Author. See "Narrative Citations with Omit Author” there.

Sorry, I was referring to the availability via the sites/databases/catalogs we support. We could support ORCID even if we couldn't automatically retrieve them from most sites, but it's a lot less compelling.
-
In theory this is where ORCID comes in. There'd still need to be a UI to group/manage different name variations, but they could be linked together by an ORCID, and there could be an option (in the doc prefs or citation dialog, or maybe even in CSL) …

You can switch between them.

I'm not sure what exactly you're reporting. If you're getting the Edit Bibliography window when you click Add/Edit Bibliography, there's already a bibliography — or the remnants of one — in the document. If you can't find it, you can toggle Word fie…

@AinsleyMD: Huh, we've never seen that before. We'll add that to the documentation. Thanks for sharing!
-
Can you provide a Debug ID for that?
-
The described behavior wouldn't be normal in Zotero 6 either, though. @ajcov, if you can reproduce this with all plugins disabled, we'd want to see a Debug ID for an operation that was slow.
-
Is it planned to sync the Attachment Title and File Name in a future update? No. The whole point is that we don’t think it makes sense to clutter the items list with filenames that duplicate the parent item's metadata, so we have no plans to facilit…
-
On macOS you can just give them different names in Applications.
-
You still need to explain exactly what you're doing. See Steps to Reproduce for the kind of description we need. "Application not responding" isn't something that appears when you "download" a file.

The plugin is digitally signed with an EV code-signing certificate from a major certificate authority. Your organization may be blocking Word add-ins from running or from customizing the UI, though. They should be able to add Corporation for Digital…

In the previous beta versions (and also Zotero 6), renaming did not only rename the filename but also the attachment title For about a year, Zotero 7 hasn't changed the attachment title when doing a manual Rename File from Parent Metadata if the tit…
