Restart in Troubleshooting Mode (Help → "Restart in Troubleshooting Mode…”), which temporarily disables all plugins. If that fixes it, you'll need to identify the plugin that's causing it and then report the problem to the plugin's developer.

@keepfinding: (Please don't create duplicate threads for the same issue. It just makes it harder to help you. Merged back into your original thread.) Can you provide a Debug ID for Zotero startup, using the "Restart with Logging Enabled…" option?
-
@mrli6666: Find Full Text should work as long as you have direct access to the resources without using a proxy, though some sites tend to block Zotero. If it's not working for you, we'd want an example DOI from the parent item and a Debug ID for an…

As I say, it's just Edit → Settings on Windows in current versions. It was Edit → Preferences in older versions.
-
You're clicking Add Note, not Add/Edit Citation.
-
That's an item in your trash.

No, nothing like this. Some sort of group activity history is planned. We hadn't really thought about including admin/member changes in that, though we could consider that.
-
This will be possible in a future version.

(Note that you're also on an outdated version of macOS Sonoma. You should update to 14.7.1 or to Sequoia.)

Close Zotero, delete Zotero from Applications, and reinstall from the download page. Your data won't be affected. If that doesn't work, go to ~/Library/Caches/Zotero from Finder → Go → "Go to Folder…" and delete the "updates" folder, and then resta…

This is fixed for the next version, but for now, two-finger click (or Ctrl-click) instead of two-finger tap and this won't happen: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/comment/479075/#Comment_479075

If you're getting that message, the files most likely were never synced from the device where you added them. See Files Not Syncing.
-
It's Edit → Settings on Windows/Linux and Zotero menu → Settings on macOS.
-
It's asking you because that's not how you use Zotero. If you edit citations directly in the document, Zotero can no longer update those citations to keep them correct, so it needs to ask you what to do. You add page numbers through the citation di…

Delete Zotero.dotm from the Word Startup folder, restart Word to confirm that the Zotero tab is gone completely, and then (and only then) reinstall the plugin.

Fixed for the next beta — thanks!

It looks like there's data in the account you're posting from, probably saved directly from the Zotero Connector, but you never synced the desktop app with it. If you weren't syncing the desktop app, your only option would be to restore from a back…

Sorry, not clear what you're asking here. You should just write in your native language. We always need a Report ID and any exact errors you're receiving.
-
For problems with a plugin, you'll need to contact the plugin developer.
-
It looks like you've moved your Zotero data directory into Documents. If you have Desktop and Documents syncing with iCloud Drive, you have your Zotero database in a cloud storage folder, which you absolutely can't do. That's likely to be the proble…

database or disk is full No, the error was that your disk is full. Nothing to do with Zotero specifically. Make sure you've resolved that before continuing.

See Files Not Syncing. You have to sync your laptop now that you added storage space.

@Charmingwind, @anbit: Yes, sorry — there's a bug rendering some Chinese characters in the PDF library we use under iOS 18. We've reported it and are waiting for a fix.

OK, a similar report here: https://github.com/MuiseDestiny/zotero-figure/issues/90
-
So you should disable all plugins and then re-enable them one by one until you figure out which one is interfering. Then let us know, and also report the problem to the plugin developer.
-
No, don't create a new account. If you're saying that you switched to WebDAV, it should upload all files to the WebDAV server, including previously created images in notes, as long as both computers are configured the same way. If you're having tr…

You don't have to "guess" anything — the page tells you what commands you need to run. But you can extract the tarball anywhere you want, so they're necessarily going to vary based on that. The page does assume you know how to run scripts from the …

A few things: 1) You somehow ended up with a 'statute' item with Type: dataset in the Extra field. Go to https://www.zotero.org/k.osterlow/items/XNC35S3H/library and you should see it. Change it to a Dataset item or remove that line from Extra. (We…
