@RLifset: As I say, you can re-select a Quick Copy style from the Export pane of the Zotero settings. Edit → Copy Bibliography is just the menu option for Quick Copy. But this is also fixed in Zotero 7.0.21.
-
Restart in Troubleshooting Mode (Help → "Restart in Troubleshooting Mode…”), which temporarily disables all plugins, and reset your translators from the Advanced → Files and Folders section of the Zotero settings.
-
Yes, existing Zotero-created citations in the document will work normally, and you can even cite them again by choosing them from the Cited section of the citation dialog. You just can't currently edit their associated metadata.

Sorry, this was a bug in non-English locales. Fixed now in beta 44. Thanks.

@jeremyvancleve: Try Zotero Connector 5.0.171.
-
OK, we tracked this down to a bug in Chrome. We've put a workaround in place in Zotero Connector 5.0.171, available now. Please try that and let us know if you're still seeing this.

No, sorry. But Safari itself from macOS 10.13 is no longer maintained by Apple and isn't safe to use. Mozilla is still supporting Firefox 115 ESR (Extended Support Release) on macOS 10.13 through September 2025, so I'd recommend using that for now.

And a Debug ID for an attempt that fails

Already fixed in the latest beta: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/125433/latest-beta-7-1-from-15-7-not-starting-on-windows (Be sure to note in your forums thread when you're running a beta. If you don't mean to be running a beta, reinstall Zo…

It depends entirely on the files you're adding. If you're not getting data for standard academic PDFs, provide a Debug ID for an attempt that fails.
-
No, you are misremembering. That's a feature of the Zotero beta.

1) For library data, see Transferring a Library. Settings and plugins are stored in the Zotero profile folder. You could try transferring the parent folder (with profiles.ini), but we don't usually recommend that. 2) You can continue using Zotero c…

Fixed now in beta 43 — thanks.

The names were changed to conform to the CMOS naming rules. "(Full Note)" is indeed now "(notes and bibliography)". Your friend likely just hasn't received the updated styles yet.
-
Sorry, that would be in non-English locales only. We'll have a new build out shortly, or you can redownload from the beta builds page.
-
You have almost two dozen plugins enabled. Restart in Troubleshooting Mode (Help → "Restart in Troubleshooting Mode…”), which temporarily disables all plugins, and see if the problem goes away.
-
This should be fixed in Zotero 7.0.21, available now.

Uninstall the extension and reinstall it from the download page. If that doesn't help, it would be some problem with your Firefox profile, and you could try in a new profile. There's no general problem in Firefox, no. (To be clear, the button itse…

The Chicago styles have been updated to the 18th edition. If you want to stay on the 17th, you can install that from the Cite pane of the settings or the styles page.
-
Right, those are the settings I mentioned above. There was an upstream change to Chicago styles that's breaking this for some people. We're working on a fix, but in the meantime reselecting a style would've fixed it.

Sorry, an update of the Chicago styles to the 18th edition broke things for some people. We're working on a fix, but for now, you can just re-select a Quick Copy style from the Export pane of the Zotero settings.

(And to be clear, if you try to use Quick Copy immediately during Zotero startup, there could be a delay before it works, so you’ll want to wait for the initial loading and syncing when testing this.)
-
What if you switch to APA, restart Zotero, and wait for the initial loading and syncing? To be clear, if you try to use Quick Copy immediately during Zotero startup, there could be a delay before the copying happens.
-
What if you switch to APA and then restart Zotero?
-
Switching to a non-Chicago style as well?
-
Also, does this happen for any item? E.g., if you just create an empty item with a title, does it still happen? Or does it only happen for items with specific fields?
