@friedsoap: This thread was specifically about using the appropriate modifier key while scrolling. That's been fixed. If you're saying the modifier key isn't working for you at all, you should start a new thread with a Report ID.

What do you mean by "become invalid"?

You deleted a collection a few hours ago. You can likely restore it from the last automatic backup. Note the specific instruction for restoring collections. You should also upgrade to Zotero 7 via Help → Check for Updates if you're still on Zotero…

6.0.18 You're running a version of Zotero from November 2022. You should install the latest version from the download page and figure out why you haven't received automatic updates in years.
-
You shouldn't be doing anything with BibTeX. You can just copy items between libraries within Mendeley and then use the Zotero importer.
-
You didn't answer my question. What do you mean by "exporting"? Again, you should be using our built-in Mendeley importer, not any sort of "export".

OK, glad to hear it's fixed, but note that the instructions don't say anything about using that option, and so those Debug IDs don't help us debug this further to figure out how it might have happened. If you see it happening again, we'd want just …

@Julierocheleau: If you construct a search in the Advanced Search window, you can do a Select All there and then press Enter to select those same items in the main window.

Sorry, the colors aren't currently configurable.

No, the only known causes are listed on that page. To be clear, manually running Unlink Citations is only one of several possibilities. Zotero inserts standard Word fields, and those should be preserved as long as you save as .docx using Word. If m…

You tried too many times with the wrong credentials and were temporarily blocked. Try again or reset your password.

Word doesn't show Toggle Field Codes on fields in footnotes, so that part isn't meaningful. See Existing Citations Not Detected for how to reliably check whether a citation is still a Zotero citation and the reasons they'd be flattened. For the fo…

Is the document saved to OneDrive? Does it happen if you save the document to the local disk instead?

Can you provide a screenshot of what you're trying?
-
Wait, you're saying you ran with a custom -profile flag? How does that path relate to your %appdata%?
-
Right, so I'm asking if you possibly transferred the "%appdata%\Zotero" folder from your other computer. Obviously a new empty "Zotero" AppData folder shouldn't cause problems.
-
No, I mean other data. %appdata%\Zotero stores the Zotero profile and wouldn't have anything to do with Zotero sync. Did you transfer AppData files from another computer? But I'm also not sure what you mean. When exactly did this occur? If you coul…

Zotero can't write to the "Zotero" folder in your home folder, or the zotero.sqlite file within it. You don't say whether you've used Zotero previously on this computer or what you did before his occurred, but generally this happens after transferr…

Did you transfer data from another computer?

I mean, it's really not. Again, it's just a text extraction bug — it's from a line from Annie Hall quoted on the first page of the PDF. There's absolutely no meaning here.

We're of course proud of our Android app, but if you're starting from scratch, then yes, the iOS experience will generally be smoother for now — particularly on tablets, which just haven't really been a thing on Android until fairly recently. (Wirec…

If you're using Zotero 7, you can click any icon in the side navigation bar to reopen the item pane. In the Zotero 8 beta, there's also a permanent button to close (and reopen) the pane — no dragging required. On macOS, you can also assign a shortc…

Are you able to provide a Debug ID for Zotero startup? https://www.zotero.org/support/reporting_problems#reporting_startup_errors

For problems with a plugin, you'll need to contact the plugin developer.
