I've had the same problem for awhile with the chrome extension. It's not consistent, but certainly none of the articles that populate with the Zotero catalog engine have a URL. They are stored with the attachment, but I have to reopen it and manuall…

Got it, thanks. I was more curious about how GitHub worked for pull requests for terminally ill projects like this. I can make the config edits now, but I'm sure I will forget that I did so when I next have to set up a new computer...

Thanks for explaining!
-
Thank you! @qqbb . That's very helpful. - Forgive me for another question, but I know just enough about GitHub to get myself into trouble. Does this pull request mean that future downloads of the ZotFile xpi would incorporate your fix, or would we …
-
You are correct. There's a checkbox to use Zotero renaming.
-
That's a valid point. I use ZotFile to store references on our network server; renaming is only a side benefit. I think I was hoping to approximate my Calibre storage at one point, to see if I could cut down on duplication, but that doesn't work per…

I should add that it works as expected if the Zotero date format is October 15, 2011. The name resolves to "Name_2011 - Blah blah blah.pdf"

Yes, with ZotFile you can use wildcards to define both subfolder structure and file names. Read more here: http://zotfile.com/index.html#renaming-rules. Subfolders are defined in the ZotFile "General Settings."

One other thing I just noticed - using the case change on tags like italics or bold changes some of them to uppercase, rendering them nonfunctional. It seems like an exclusion might be an easy way to address that?
-
Oh, and depending on how you manage the exclusion, the ability to list mixed-case acronyms would also be useful, like dB or Leq.
-
My most frequent use cases are: 1) Going from all caps to Title Case 2) Going from a Sentence case title to Title Case where not peer-reviewed publication (in which case I think the 'all-uppercase in a mixed string' would be helpful) 3) Going from…

Oh, frick. How many times did I look at that window without noticing that? Well, at least my csl is all freshened up! Thank you, @enozkan
-
I see that I'm able to find at least some of them via the captured URL or DOI by searching on "proxy". I'm not sure how consistent this is yet, but it's a start!
-
Thank you, @bwiernik! It's an effective workaround for this problem.

***Doing the bulk edit dance*** Kicking in another voice for the bulk edits. I've been watching this thread since adopting Zotero for myself in 2019. The lack of bulk editing is the primary feature that keeps me from upgrading my storage or trying …

Thank you for the response @dstillman ! And thanks for the quick turnaround on returning bulk adding of parent items. I work with a lot of old government reports without available metadata, so I thought I was going to cry when I suddenly had to add …

That’s apparent from multiple other forum posts. What I asked is whether there are still development plans for bulk editing, as there are references to it going back to 2013.
