The version at the address above now works for PDF downloading as well.
-
Apologies -- that version does fix most of the problem, but it still botches PDF downloading. I'll look at fixing that as well.

Since 2.1 is not far away, I doubt that anyone is going to work on fixing CSL bugs from

I've checked a fixed version into the Zotero repository. It will hopefully be pushed to all users soon; in the meantime you can go to https://www.zotero.org/trac/browser/extension/trunk/translators/JSTOR.js?format=txt and save the file in the transl…

There is currently a discussion about a similar feature taking place on the developer list -- http://groups.google.com/group/zotero-dev/t/77074e86859e8674 ; you may want to read that thread.
-
The current best way is to create collections of the items in each category, then use the "Create bibliography from collection" command on each collection, then insert the resulting bibliographies manually into your word processor. Unfortunately, Zo…

I believe that should be true for all group libraries you are a member of.

If Zotero can't store or access data on your WebDAV server, and neither can Finder, then it's probably a problem with the server. There are some WebDAV servers out there that don't follow the specification; yours could easily be one.

If you'd like to try my work-in-progress translator, go to http://github.com/ajlyon/zotero-bits/raw/master/Institute of Physics.js and save the file to the translators directory of your Zotero data directory (http://www.zotero.org/support/zotero_dat…

No need. But see my comment there.

See http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/12161 This thread is about Physical Review, a different journal. Regardless, the IOP translator is still broken.

The communication took some form. Use letter or interview if you are looking for an item type that can hold the appropriate metadata and serve as a parent item for notes and attachments.

That message means that a site translator is taking longer than perhaps it should. If you get it consistently with certain sites, please post the relevant URLs so we can look into it. If you are not planning on capturing items from the pages you ar…

As for contacting EBSCO reps, they don't provide us with the translators, but we would be very appreciative if they could give us a heads-up before making site changes or otherwise engaged with our developers. If we really do have hundreds of thousa…

This is not really a good time for me to be working on difficult translators like EBSCO, since I'm really over-committed. I've been doing a lot of the translator maintenance recently, but I don't know how soon I will be able to work on this. I'll p…

Would it help if sync status information were available through Zotero.org? I know that Dan can often tell people what has been recently synced and whether they have syncs queued-- if such information were available to users directly, it might help.…
-
The delays in sync processing are certainly a problem in some cases, and you have mentioned the big ones. In light of its limited resources, Zotero.org has chosen to sacrifice immediacy in return for increased scalability-- they've chosen a good-eno…
-
The debug output and time since last sync are quite informative. Most people do not need to know which items are being synced. Perhaps the size of the queue could be published-- maybe the Zotero.org team would be amiable to offering such information…
-
Please note as well that syncing is working. Really. It does not keep multiple Zotero clients in perfect sync instantaneously, and sometimes it can take some time for changes to propagate. That said, they do propagate. Changes that occur while a syn…

To make things more clear, can you specify what bibliography format you are using and what what the finished thesis citation should look like?
-
Some people create Zotero groups for such purposes -- you may want to try that.
-
It works for me. Do other PMIDs work?
-
I would certainly just try to keep to the ' form of the symbol; as I said before, you can do a saved search for titles and authors with the curled form and use that to keep things clean.
-
No, it hasn't yet been resolved. Maybe we could switch from TinyMCE to Firefox's built-in Midas (http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=986045&start=0 ; https://developer.mozilla.org/en/midas ; http://kb.mozillazine.org/Firefox_…

This is analogous to whole journal issues, and it there is not a specific type. It probably should have its own type -- in the meantime you can use the Journal or Book types.

I'm actually interested in what French sorting practice is -- from my reading of collation charts (http://www.unicode.org/charts/uca/ , http://www.collation-charts.org/) it looks like the two apostrophes are usually treated the same, so I'm surprise…
-
I think that Word is actually at fault here -- according to my reading of the always-correct Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apostrophe#As_a_mark_of_elision), the correct symbol for elided letters in French is ' ; in converting L'Étourdi to …
-
Are you sure that you need the symbol ’ instead of ' ? Zotero really can't know that you mean for those to be the same symbol, since it doesn't try to do "smart" substitutions like Word does. You can create a saved search for items that contain the…

The main discussion of this is at http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/1787/simple-marking-of-items/ . We might see something like what you're saying -- but it may not be soon.
