Post the converted bookmarks file, or part of it, to https://gist.github.com/ and post the link here. I'll take a look.
-
That doesn't look like a Zotero error. Does an error message pop up, or is that just from "Report errors"?
-
Zotero definitely supports Google Patents and FreePatentsOnline, at least. I think it has some more too. Just install Zotero and see what works for you. If there are inconsistencies between the databases, post and we'll see what can be done.
-
Sorry to have missed the original post. It looks like the conversion to bookmarks has an error-- you have a literal \t and \n in that, which doesn't make sense and violates the format. You can just remove them and it should import fine. Even better,…

Should be fixed now. Update translators and detection should give correct results in guest mode. It may be necessary to restart Firefox, since the DOI translator is cached on startup, I believe.
-
I see Simon has dealt with this already for trunk/3.0: https://github.com/zotero/zotero/commit/5c324134c636a3a3e0432f1d2f277a6bc2717c2a I'll proceed with a hack to DOI, then, so we can fix this quickly.
-
In that case something is wrong already-- DOI has a lower priority than ScienceDirect, so the iframe shouldn't be the one being parsed.
-
Don't use standalone for testing or development. Develop in Firefox-- testing for connectors is done automatically. Do create tests for the translator, so we can check for compatibility automatically.
-
Are you using WebDAV or ZFS for attachment storage? Also, Zandy-specific questions can be directed to http://www.gimranov.com/forum/ to reduce confusion here on the main Zotero forums, since it's not a Zotero-sponsored CHNM product. But I'm happy t…

simon: It would be nice if the main frame were tested before its iframes, as a general rule.
-
I don't like adding hacks to general-purpose translators like DOI, so I'll see about using document.defaultView.top in the main SD translator. mark: Please do submit an error report if things are not working when you are not in guest mode.
-
It works for me in guest mode in Scaffold, but not when I save manually-- I get the same behavior as Dan. There's some JavaScript that's inserting an IFRAME from that URL, but I don't see why Zotero can't be made to ignore it. I tried excluding it i…

General information on things like target expressions can be found in the main translator development documentation: http://www.zotero.org/support/dev/translators
-
Please do direct further questions to zotero-dev, but I'll answer the Scaffold-related ones here for good measure. If you do not insert the framework code manually into the translator by pasting it from Erik's repository, the framework code will be …

I thought we had guest mode working as of the last update, but if not, we should disable it, or fix it. I'll see if I can pin down the cause when I'm back off campus and am once again a guest.
-
I went ahead and posted your example code to the client API documentation: http://www.zotero.org/support/dev/client_coding/javascript_api#examplebatch_editing
-
Should work now. Sorry about that.
-
Before making changes, close Firefox and Standalone, then make a backup copy of zotero.sqlite, then open the file in sqlitebrowser. There shouldn't be a lock when Firefox is closed.
-
Ok. It's not an issue in the file. Perhaps a platform-specific issue? Does this work for anyone else?
-
The KW handling has been in the code for years, and it's working for me. Can you email me (avram@gimranov.com) a file with some references that don't work? Perhaps there's something funny going on with the line endings. As for UR, yes, it will be p…

The contents of the UR field are imported as a link attachment to the item in Zotero. I recommend switching around the export tags as such: TY - JOUR AB - Symbiotic cyanobacteria—bryophyte associations on the forest floor are shown to contribute si…

On the batch editing front, I use Pyzotero (http://pypi.python.org/pypi/Pyzotero/0.9.1) when I need to some sort of batch edit. Its modifications are applied to the server and then synced locally, but it works very well. It is in Python, but that s…

Is it possible to get the shares in the form of browser bookmarks? It'd be pretty easy to add an importer for the Google Reader's JSON, but there's no reason to do so if we can leverage the existing browser bookmark importer.
-
Indeed. If you give the URL, and the place data is in fact on the page, I'll fix the translator to include it.
-
Can you give an example URL for the HighWire 2.0 errors like "match is undefined"? That section of the translator is known to need special-casing for certain journals; I'm sure we're just missing some of the journals that should be there.
-
By the way-- you'll need to restart Firefox after replacing the file before the change will take effect.
-
Please go to http://github.com/ajlyon/translators/raw/master/COinS.js and save the file to the translators directory of your Zotero data directory (http://www.zotero.org/support/zotero_data). It should start adding a snapshot of the current page. I…

That's because Mendeley's BibTeX export is less mature than Zotero's. The braces should be there; Zotero puts them there in its BibTeX export.
-
I think the extra braces are to maintain the word-internal capital letters.

Does it work to type _any_ Greek or Egyptian characters directly into fields in Firefox/Zotero? How about other programs apart from Word? This sounds like a text entry issue. What operating system are you using?
