The PDF issue is now fixed in the Zotero repository. It should work in the next Zotero release; you can still install from Github as described above if you don't want to wait.

It sounds like you have an old copy of the BibTeX translator. Try resetting translators in the Zotero preferences. If you have any custom site or other translators that you've manually edited or installed, you'll need to back them up first.
-
Also-- would you be interested in helping localize (translate) the multilingual edition of Zotero for Chinese? See http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/16635/ for some details-- Frank (fbennett) can send along a file with the additional strings used …

Automated translation is unlikely to happen, but crowd-sourced translations of journal titles and such might happen. My little experiment in automated transliteration is here: http://github.com/ajlyon/translit It currently works with Cyrillic and s…

This works for me. Core devs: Can you please post the relevant error from Hanski's error report?
-
If this is through a proxy, then it will not work yet in standalone.
-
WebDAV is used for attached documents only. Sync state and all metadata and notes are maintained using the Zotero sync server. If you're getting a sync error, we need an error report as described in my previous post. If there's not an error occuring…

Track changes occasionally (usually?) wreaks havoc on citations. Don't use it while modifying citations using Zotero.
-
This is a formal request-- thanks for pinning down the concrete requirements.

Please go to http://github.com/ajlyon/zotero-bits/raw/master/JSTOR.js and save the file to the translators directory of your Zotero data directory (http://www.zotero.org/support/zotero_data). It should handle the URLs correctly. Here, we were simply…

This is now in the repository and should be in the next release of Zotero. Thanks for working on this!
-
No, not yet. Can you provide details on the item, so this can be kept in mind for future revisions of the item schema?
-
I can't replicate the issue you're seeing. If it is really connected to how to connect to the internet, then you'll need to contact your network/system administrators about troubleshooting a cache problem. Zotero works just like Firefox in this resp…

Please go to http://github.com/ajlyon/zotero-bits/raw/master/IngentaConnect.js and save the file to the translators directory of your Zotero data directory (http://www.zotero.org/support/zotero_data). It should start working again. If this works fo…

This was my mistake-- there is in fact an interstitial that presents the PDF as the content of a frame. The fixed version is now on Github: Please go to http://github.com/ajlyon/zotero-bits/raw/master/IEEE Xplore.js and save the file to the transla…

I try to be vigilant about not saving non-canonical URLs for items when I do translator reviews. I'm sure there are plenty of translators that get it wrong, but that'll only get better if people point out the problems. I don't plan on going through …

Make sure you select "UTF-8" in the encoding menu when exporting to BibTeX.

Please try to submit an error report and post the report ID here (http://www.zotero.org/support/reporting_bugs).

(1) has been discussed, and it might happen some day, but it's a big departure from the current model which is based on bibliographic items (roughly, publications). I personally am very much in favor of developing in this direction. (2) Do you mean…

When I try to do debug this with curl, I get Location: headers -- so HTTP redirects. I thought Zotero did these fine, but I can't see any other reason Zotero is failing to attach the PDFs. Maybe you can check debug output for an attempt and see anot…

Firefox doesn't open PDFs natively. What plugin do you use to read the PDFs? Adobe Acrobat? Something else?

Dan is referring to a very concrete error reporting tool built in to Zotero, described at point 2 of this page: http://www.zotero.org/support/reporting_bugs It is very important that you submit such an error report and post the Report ID here, beca…

Try this one: Please go to http://github.com/ajlyon/zotero-bits/raw/master/Readability.js and save the file to the translators directory of your Zotero data directory (http://www.zotero.org/support/zotero_data). It should fix the all-caps issue.

What program are you using to look at and annotate PDFs? Is it a Firefox plugin?
-
Can you confirm that this persists in the latest release of Zotero (2.1.4)?

Raised again here: http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/17338 Do we ever run into similar requirements for published proceedings of a conference, when cited as a volume/book? There you'd also have an event date and a name that differ from the book t…

And I see you have the guidance here-- maybe a source for that too, for reference? This could probably be done using the "extra" field now. Please continue discussion here: http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/13142

See the general discussion on type changes (http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/15636/) and the specific discussion of exhibition catalogs (http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/13142). This type is currently looking like it won't make it for the Zote…

The 2.0.9 processor is licensed under the GPL-- I think it's v3+. But you should really pin your hopes on Zotero 2.1 and the processor citeproc-js-- both bring a lot of new functionality, and I still don't see what's wrong with Zotero 2.1 and right …

Most Zotero plugins need to be updated to work with Zotero 2.1. My understanding is that it usually doesn't take much, but it looks like the Tufts people may not be in much hurry to fix this. Interested developers from Tufts or elsewhere should fee…
