Automatic updates are of course better, but if you disable the automatic translator updates, you'll still be able to update manually from the Zotero prefs.

It looks like BMC has switched to a new format on some sites, and not on others. I managed to get it working on Genome Biology, but that broke it for some other sites... This will take some more work.

We could probably click OK automatically too-- but I feel like there's a limit to how hard we should try to get around site restrictions. Clicking OK once isn't that bad. I've added a note to this effect at http://www.zotero.org/support/known_trans…

I think I just wasn't being very proxy-friendly. Try again now. Please go to http://github.com/ajlyon/zotero-bits/raw/master/IEEE Xplore.js and save the file to the translators directory of your Zotero data directory (http://www.zotero.org/support/…

Yes, try to set a different tag delimiter.
-
Should be fixed now. But you may have to have IEEE Xplore access to use it (not a guest)-- they don't expose all the metadata to guest users. Please go to http://github.com/ajlyon/zotero-bits/raw/master/IEEE Xplore.js and save the file to the trans…

The tags are using a non-standard format-- they shouldn't usually be /-delimited.
-
You saved the translator, then removed the old import, emptied the trash, and did a fresh import from the BibTeX?
-
I just made a modified version of the BibTeX importer that might fix this for you. You'll need to re-import from Endnote, but it should get the tags right. Please go to http://github.com/ajlyon/zotero-bits/raw/master/BibTeX.js and save the file to …

Hanski: What version of Zotero, Firefox, and operating system are you using? Do other pages save fine? Essentially, I need you to go through http://www.zotero.org/support/troubleshooting_translator_issues, especially 2-4 and 9.
-
Essentially, BibTeX.js was reworked somewhat because of some changes in Z 2.1. If you take a look at the new BibTeX.js, you should be able to hack together this again. I won't be able to fix this myself for at least several more weeks. If you stil…

Actually, there's little reason not to use a narrow non-breaking space here, if we know that it's correct. I doubt it's any harder than using a standard one.
-
Now committed to the repository.
-
Not yet-- if no one works on it in the meantime, post here again in a month or two. If I have a bit more time, I'll take a look.

Dragging onto a multi-selection is hard for me to imagine, but dragging onto a single item does sound like a nice completion of the paradigm.
-
Now with PDF saving. Please go to http://github.com/ajlyon/zotero-bits/raw/master/IngentaConnect.js and save the file to the translators directory of your Zotero data directory (http://www.zotero.org/support/zotero_data). It should start working a…

Can you try to access Scopus from a location that doesn't require a proxy? Like, say, the university campus? I know we'd like to support Scopus, but I don't have access to it through my institution, so I haven't been able to fix it (I have been off…

1. There's a note in the exporter that reads: "as per docs, use editor only for chapters". Is this not correct? The code currently uses editor only for book sections, conference papers (proceedings), and encyclopedia articles. 2. The current code i…

I've updated the version on Github (link above) to hopefully get item types and authors right. The translator never had proper PDF saving, but I'll see if I can quickly add that as well.

Please provide an example URL and a Report ID (from "Report Errors" in the gear menu).

Sorry about the incorrect and overconfident answer. Should have checked first. Thanks, Simon.

But AFAIK, in these languages there is no space at all (English, German). Yes, as far as I know. And indeed, I certainly wouldn't want the space to be a breaking space if I inserted one in an English style / title. It would be pretty nasty looking w…

Did Scopus work before? My understanding was that it's been broken for some time, 2.1.x or not.

When Zotero freezes, is it possible to wait and it will clear itself up if given time (maybe lots of time)? If Zotero is not visible (panel closed, no notes open) and you open a PDF in Firefox, does the Firefox user interface (menus, etc) still wor…

Proxy URLs look like web.ebscohost.com.ezproxy.library.myschool.edu.
-
This is fixed in Zotero 2.1.4-- there was a problem with attachments in 2.1.2 and 2.1.3 (and maybe in 2.1.0-2.1.1-- don't remember).
-
For citations, see https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/zotero-scholar-citations/ But note that the automated requests can get you locked out of Google Scholar.
-
Not yet. The connectors and Zotero Standalone currently work only with Safari and Chrome, but IE was originally planned and it may still be on it's way. But it's almost certainly not going to be ready by your deadline.

Although if you are interested in supporting the development of Zotero, the Center for History and New Media at George Mason University, the home of the project, does accept charitable donations to support the development of its projects: http://chn…
