I just wrote an LJ translator, since LJ (ЖЖ) is the lifeblood of the Runet. Please go to http://github.com/ajlyon/zotero-bits/raw/master/LiveJournal.js and save the file to the translators directory of your Zotero data directory (http://www.zotero.…

Fixed in repository. Should be in the next version of Zotero.

Please go to http://github.com/ajlyon/zotero-bits/raw/master/Cambridge Scientific Abstracts.js and save the file to the translators directory of your Zotero data directory (http://www.zotero.org/support/zotero_data). It should start working again. …

Job (1) can be done using the server API and a library like libZotero (https://github.com/fcheslack/libZotero). That's a PHP library, which is a little awkward for a job like this, but the Python equivalent (https://github.com/urschrei/pyzotero) doe…

The Zotero Everywhere project (http://www.zotero.org/blog/zoteros-next-big-step/) includes allowing all the existing export translators to run on the server, which will make it possible to provide RIS, BibTeX, MODS and other output formats on the we…

Ok-- I hadn't tested search results. Download and install from the address above again and they too should start working.

Please go to http://github.com/ajlyon/zotero-bits/raw/master/Early English Books Online.js and save the file to the translators directory of your Zotero data directory (http://www.zotero.org/support/zotero_data). It should start working again. If t…

Try entering "today", "yesterday", "tomorrow" -- it works already for at least the "Date" field.
-
Nice troubleshooting. The updated translator is now in the main repository and should be included in the next release of Zotero.
-
Yes, we still need the error report ID.

This is now in the zotero.org repository and should be in the next version of Zotero.

Please go to http://github.com/ajlyon/zotero-bits/raw/master/CrossRef.js and save the file to the translators directory of your Zotero data directory (http://www.zotero.org/support/zotero_data). It should start working again. If this works for you,…

As you can tell from the schema review issue, there's something approaching consensus that there is no actual difference. The original schema design decisions have always been clouded in mystery-- I'd also be interested in knowing what the underlyin…

Yes-- try adamsmith's approach. The version on Github should work for all the examples above already.

Fixed to point to the KB article at http://www.zotero.org/support/kb/default_translators Do we still have proxy problems too?
-
Maybe would could add a known issues section to the standalone page?
-
These sound like non-composed umlauts, and probably a bug in Word or a bad font that's having trouble with them. Do you see the same problem if you paste the bibliography until, say, a textbox in Firefox?
-
But when we eventually get an event-place, we can map "location" to it (at least using special logic in the ACM translator)?
-
Zotero's support for specific websites usually depends on the presence of corresponding site translators (http://www.zotero.org/support/dev/translators). While Zotero currently supports many sites in Western Europe, East Asia, and North and South Am…

This is due to the way that Zotero's BibTeX importer works-- it maps BibTeX's "address" to Zotero's "place", and BibTeX's "location" to Zotero's "archiveLocation". We can probably fix this for ACM if the problem is consistent across journals, but f…

Not that anyone should feel like they have to hire me, but I can confirm that I'm not prohibitively expensive, if it comes down to that. The first option of exposing nice embedded metadata is the best option, since it will provide support for Mende…

As far as I know, we already save the DOI when IEEE provides it. It would be good if Zotero opened the DOI just as it opens URLs, but you can click on the text label "DOI" to open the item as well.

Frankly, I need to be able to replicate this myself to fix this. There is a real chance that this depends on the subscribing institution, in which case I may be able to fix this if someone gives me temporary proxy access. It may also be specific t…

Can anyone else with Factiva access give this a try? These work for me, so I'm wondering if perhaps there might be a difference in the page layout for different Factiva subscribers.
-
If it doesn't work, post the document numbers of documents that don't work for you (they look like SDU0000020050103e11100054).

The version on Github (http://github.com/ajlyon/zotero-bits/raw/master/IEEE Xplore.js) already handles conference papers and authors correctly. Please check that you are using the latest version. The URL field is intended to be used only for URIs t…

The site uses the DOI default translator. For some reason, the DOI they specify is not in the CrossRef DOI resolver, so Zotero can't use it. You should be able to use the ISBNs on the item pages with Zotero's magic wand function to quickly save ite…

And the abbreviations will likely be supported by a future extension to Zotero and/or CSL to allow for abbreviation lists to be referenced by specific styles, or specified for specific documents.

This was discussed at http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/15376 , but I think I missed a part when coding the treatment for proceedingsTitle. I've gone back and reworked it a bit. Please go to http://github.com/ajlyon/zotero-bits/raw/master/RIS.js …

Not sure if this will fix it, but please go to http://github.com/ajlyon/zotero-bits/raw/master/Factiva.js and save the file to the translators directory of your Zotero data directory (http://www.zotero.org/support/zotero_data). Reload the Factiva p…
