Can you bump this if and when the music score type comes through? I'm not sure how strong the metadata is on scores at IMSLP, but it'd certainly be great to support it. And please mention anything that's missing from the music score proposal-- it's…

This is almost certainly fixed in the Zotero trunk: https://www.zotero.org/trac/changeset/9805 It will definitely be fixed in the next major release (Zotero 2.2), and it will probably be fixed in the next minor release (Zotero 2.1.9), although that…

That's not easy-- and perhaps not necessary if you're working in a field or country that doesn't use place of publication in journal citations. I know that the Russian card catalogs (paper ones) that I often use do have this information, and place a…

Click the "Edit in a separate window" button at the bottom of the note pane. You can then position the note and PDF to make things convenient. I also pin the note to always be on top, but I don't know how to do that in Windows (I'm working in Linux…

As with most fields, the meaning of place would be left up to the user-- it is probably supposed to be the publisher's place at the time of publication, but it's conceivable that a style might look for something else. Hopefully not, though. It woul…

We need more details on what exactly is happening-- are these citations in your library? Or in documents produced using the Word / OpenOffice plugins? Are they from a personal library or a group library? Is syncing set up on the computers showing th…

Just click the "Multiple sources" button in the insert citation window.

WoK is giving me server errors on a regular basis, so I don't think I'm going to be able to tackle this until their computer issues are sorted out.

Because of the way the search mechanism that powers DOI and Pubmed searches it built, this ought to be pretty easy, and you're right that this would be useful. But note that you can just update the volume and issue numbers manually in Zotero in the…

And in the meantime you can use the Library of Congress for high-quality bibliographic data on just about any book.

Odd. Amazon isn't doing that for me-- it's picking up the right book. Are the ads always present? Or just sometimes? If I can replicate this, I'm sure I can fix it. But first I need to see it myself.

The saving error seems to be an issue on EBSCO's side-- I've notified the developer there who has been working on Zotero support. I don't see the call number issue here-- does that appear on every item? Or just specific ones? The translator doesn't…

The abstract issue is fixed in an updated RIS import translator that I didn't remember point you to: http://github.com/ajlyon/translators/raw/master/RIS.js Install it the same as the EBSCO one. I'll look into the saving error, call number, and nam…

The XMP metadata isn't used because Zotero hasn't been taught how to use it yet. Part of the issue is determining what format the embedded metadata is in, iirc.

Yes, definitely write to Ovid, and you may want to mention this to your library contacts as well -- there must be a person with a direct contact in Ovid, and that person can make sure the message is heard.

I haven't tried to rewrite this to use the embedded metadata, which would be more efficient-- but I did get a working fallback going, using RIS when CrossRef fails. Please go to http://github.com/ajlyon/translators/raw/master/Institute of Physics.j…

First of all, the original problem in this thread seems to be fixed. Tidus77: If you're still having trouble, can you start a new thread and post a screenshot of what the library looks like? Sounds like an incompatible extension or theme. You may w…

Please go to http://github.com/ajlyon/translators/raw/master/Google Blogs.js and save the file to the translators directory of your Zotero data directory (http://www.zotero.org/support/zotero_data). Restart Firefox and it should start working. If t…

Zotfile now can work with all file types-- you specify the file types in the preferences.

Please go to http://github.com/ajlyon/translators/raw/master/Wiley Online Library.js and save the file to the translators directory of your Zotero data directory (http://www.zotero.org/support/zotero_data). It should start working again. If this wo…

It's probably frustrating to hear this, but I'm disinclined to troubleshoot this for standalone, simply because the standalone version is pretty outdated at this point, and it's long overdue for an update (and that update will bring a whole bunch of…

Try disabling your other Firefox add-ons, starting with these ones: http://www.zotero.org/support/known_issues#incompatible_extensions_and_applications

It works for me in ZotPress 4.3. It is possible to insert arbitrary code into several such administrative pages-- not good. It'd be good to go through and add some input validation routines, and move the database interaction to use exclusively prepa…

Ah yes. I don't ever create accounts on sites like that-- that's what I have Zotero for. :) And note that since the translator now grabs PDFs for the articles as you go, you can use Zotero (even offline) to browse everything that you might previous…

What URL do you see when you are looking at search results?

Please go to http://github.com/ajlyon/translators/raw/master/APA PsycNET.js and save the file to the translators directory of your Zotero data directory (http://www.zotero.org/support/zotero_data). It should start working for individual items again…

You would have to allow some cookies for it to work, so perhaps you had all cookies disabled? Still, the important thing is that it's working now. Happy reading.

This is quite baffling. I managed to find a way to replicate URLs of this type, and have tested with the item: http://search.proquest.com/hnpbaltimoreafricanamerican/docview/530980990/abstract/130D7905C86225ACC9B/1?accountid=14512 I was hoping this…

I know it's not supposed to matter for Firefox 4, but can you make sure that you have Firefox set to allow third-party cookies in the Firefox preferences?

Dan: Can you look in slg-lc's debug output and see if the PDF is being discarded for a MIME type mismatch?
