The ISTL paper is a little less careful than I'd like to see for something in an academic journal-- Sean is completely right that the publication info for a preprint (or manuscript, which is what arXiv often is) is not the same as that for the relat…

nbsp won't work, but you can use & #160; (without the space)

Please go to http://github.com/ajlyon/translators/raw/master/APA PsycNET.js and save the file to the translators directory of your Zotero data directory (http://www.zotero.org/support/zotero_data). It should start working-- there were two things he…

Sorry about the 1900-item import. I'm working on the translator and hope to get a new version out as soon as I finish my current travels, in a few days. I'll post here when new versions are available.

jbrune: Syracuse is using Innovative Encore, which we plan to support in the future, but no one has written a translator yet. Feel free to encourage your library to add embedded metadata in the meantime (COinS have been used by some libraries using …

I don't have a timeline on this specific feature, but please do provide details on the import and translator issues, so they can be addressed. Nits like that can be fixed rather easily, but first they need to be reported.

There are still some issues that I haven't worked out yet. Apparently things should work if you do your search within "All Databases" instead of in WoS in particular. When I get the chance, I'll try to make the translator more reliable. It's also po…

You'll want to right-click (control-click) on the Zotero application and "Show package contents". The JAR is inside.

Please go to http://github.com/ajlyon/translators/raw/master/Google Patents.js and save the file to the translators directory of your Zotero data directory (http://www.zotero.org/support/zotero_data). This addresses some saving issues, although I'm…

OpenOffice or LibreOffice should work with Firefox 6 and Mac OS 10.5.8.

COinS is currently the only real option. RDFa would be an option, but nothing supports it (not Zotero, and not anything else that I know of, apart from clients that specialize in RDF). We do hope to start supporting several vocabularies with RDFa, …

I'll implement a fallback, but this is mainly just exposing a limitation in COinS (and ultimately of OpenURL). I thought the export would skip them, but I never actually tried.

Frames are the culprit. A fix should be straightforward, but I may take another day or two to get it ready.

SimonCropper: Great work on the instructions! If you want to contribute to other parts of the documentation too, it'd be great; many pages are sorely in need of good, illustrated, step-by-steps, and you've proved you can do a great job on them.

I now get the *paper* icon for a list of papers, and the *file folder* icon when I open a link to a single paper's info. If you would like concrete examples with pages, etc. for your troubleshooting purposes, or more about either of the above proble…

This is something I can't replicate with my university's subscription. adamsmith: Can you run the version here http://github.com/ajlyon/zotero-bits/raw/master/Highwire 2.0.js and post the debug output as a gist? There must be something different abo…

Unless I'm missing something, it looks like Gale used to provide meaningful metadata in the Infotrac database, but now I can't find anything. The only source of data is the citation itself: The Daily Inter Ocean, (Chicago, IL) Sunday, December 28, 1…

It seems that you're trying to empty the trash online-- I don't know if that's possible at the moment, but you should be able to empty it using the Zotero client by right-clicking on the trash icon as adamsmith describes.

The actual numbering is not controlled by Zotero in footnote styles, so you should be able to reset it using the typical numbering control mechanisms in Libre/OpenOffice or Word. For numeric styles, there is no way to reset numbering, but there you …

I was pretty confident that the fix would work, so I actually pushed it to all clients before waiting for your response. Zotero 2.1.9 and 2.1.10 clients all got the update within 24 hours of my pushing it, and it presumably was bundled with 2.1.10 a…

If it works for one page, I'm willing to assume that the error you're seeing is only temporary. There shouldn't be caching at work here, but let me know if you have consistent issues with the translator, particularly on other pages. If something doe…

The line number issue is something that Simon fixed in 3.0 (and in 2.1.9+ I think), which helps troubleshooting a lot. I'll investigate.

Can you provide a test URL? I tested this with http://www.zeit.de/2011/36/Interview-Lahm-Rinke and http://www.zeit.de/politik/ausland/2011-09/libyen-bani-walid and it worked.

adamsmith: What's the exact error? What error line? I don't remember where else we ran into this, and I don't have a proxy handy to do testing myself.

Please go to http://github.com/ajlyon/translators/raw/master/Die Zeit.js and save the file to the translators directory of your Zotero data directory (http://www.zotero.org/support/zotero_data). It should start working again. If this works for you,…

The proxy will probably need to be set up in Zotero, so that Zotero knows how to translate the URLs in the translator into proxied ones. Take a look at http://www.zotero.org/support/proxies and set up your institution's proxy, and try again.
-
For the Proquest translator to work, the proxy will need to be set up correctly in Zotero. I don't think reinstalling Zotero will help you here. Try setting the hostname to: search.proquest.com and the scheme to: http://%a-search.proquest.com.arcad…

It sounds like your proxy is attempting to proxy loopback (local) requests for 127.0.0.1-- sounds like a proxy misconfiguration, since it's sending those local requests over the proxy. You need to add an exception to the proxy for 127.0.0.1. It sho…
