Simon, then? I know there was talk by one of you about what you'd need to know about a proxy to get Zotero to detect and save it.
-
I'm sorry, but if you can't update beyond Firefox 3.6.1, there's nothing we can do-- Firefox 3.6.18 has security and bug fixes that the system administrators should certainly be interested in applying.
-
Zotero doesn't yet read RDFa or other microdata apart from COinS. When someone adds support importing for something like that, I imagine we could make an export translator (like I just did for COinS) as well. But I agree with Mark here-- it's unfort…

I'm still hoping that Dan can ask the right questions and get the right answers to provide good support for Bibliopam proxies. But there hasn't been any progress-- Zotero doesn't know how to turn the proxy URLs into a standard URL, so it doesn't not…

Meaning operating systems don't have a way of putting files on the clipboard?
-
I can't work more on this for a few more days-- I'm in the middle of a major move. But you should be able to un-nest the collections and it will work.
-
I am following this, and am glad to see that it's working out nicely. I added it to http://www.zotero.org/support/plugins -- feel free to edit the description if you like.
-
Can you reliably reproduce the display issue?
-
Do you have your NYArc proxy set up in the Zotero preferences? Does Zotero note that you're being proxied when you access ProQuest?
-
Well, I can't be expected to search the forum before posting, now can I? Monkey see, monkey do.
-
That's not what's causing it... I'll keep looking elsewhere.
-
Can you post the report ID and error text from Report Errors in the gear menu after an attempt to import that file?
-
Ok. I hadn't considered nested collections. Give me a bit and I'll post a new version that handles them correctly.
-
Zotero 3.0 has improved performance across the board, and to searches in particular, so try that first. It's a beta, but it's quite stable and safe to use. Also, what version of Firefox are you using?
-
Please post part of the file (including the file header) to http://gist.github.com and post a link here, and I'll see what I can do. Perhaps something has changed in Firefox 5.0.

Zotero's OpenURL constructor preserves author order, and includes all the authors. The problem here is that the Google Scholar lookup engine uses a template that includes only one author, and Zotero gives it the first author: http://scholar.google.c…

No need to create multiple threads, but how big is your library? If it's something like 70-100K items, it may be slow no matter what, because the software hasn't been tested on such large collections and the resultant limitations that it hits haven'…

I just added this to the documentation. Thanks for the reminder.

mronkko is correct. This isn't an easy setup to arrange, but it's technically possible, exactly as mronkko describes. The key things are linked files and a shared single Zotero account; this can't be done using Zotero groups, iirc. If you're suppor…

There's no good way to do this. It would be possible to export your library as Zotero RDF and import it into Zotero 1.01.10, but you'll break all the documents you've written in the word plugins by doing so, and you'll have a hard time moving back t…

To find out the total size of the library, select (ctrl-A) in the library window; the number of items will be shown in the right pane.

When I click on the pagination / page number links at the bottom of a Google-produced search page (like http://www.zotero.org/search/type/forums/q/openoffice), the updated pagination is simply appended to the existing, as in this screenshot, where I…

I didn't include them since I actually completely rewrote the Wiley translator some time back, so that code is all by me. I'll add a note regardless, though. And XPath can certainly seem like magic before you get used to it. If you're interested in…

Escaping added, updated on Github.

Please provide example URLs and databases, as well as browser and Zotero versions.

Take a look at http://github.com/ajlyon/zotero-bits/raw/master/JBJS Am.js and see if it works for you. I did a little cleanup, added abstracts, and added a license. Since it's based on AGPL-licensed code (the Wiley code that I wrote), it needs to be…

Dan: Can you add a known issues section to the Zotero 3.0 page and put this there, along with any other things that have come up so far?
-
This is a known issue in 3.0b1 and will be fixed for 3.0b2.
-
Apparently Zotero defaults to generating COinS using OpenURL 0.1, rather than OpenURL 1.0. I've updated the translator to provide the proper parameters and generate correct COinS. Try downloading again from http://github.com/ajlyon/translators/raw/m…

There is no other out-of-the-box solution. One reasonable approach would be for ZotPress to embed or extend the unAPI server, to serve references for its embedded data (with links to the PDFs) as well. UnAPI was designed to be trivial to implement, …
