• With the "Style" plugin disabled its works again. Thank you. The previous debug included the button press, but obviously it was not recognized by the zotero app. I guess, I need to contact the authors of "Style".

• I did restart the computer and used a new blank document. I submitted a debug with ID D15951427 right after pressing the Add/Edit Citation button and with ID D930795689 after a short time writing this message (as you can see in the log).

• The 'zotero-style" plugin mentioned by fang_zhe did work for me. Thank you! I used the setting "0:10" and " ${lastName} ${firstName}" and ",". The 10 yields up to 10 authors. The "-1" setting omits in my case the last author.
