There was something in the extra field! I removed it, and now it's correct :D
-
APA7
-
The same thing happens for every book I cite.
-
I have the full title of the book which is "Better Never to Have Been: The Harm of Coming into Existence" in the title field, nothing else.
-
No, the item type is book and was added as such to the library, but it comes out like a chapter (kind of - the full book title is in place of what would be the chapter title) in the bibliography.
-
Ok! What's the best way to update? Downloading a new version or something else?
-
Windows!
-
Anyone know how to change this setting outside of Zotero? It seems to randomly change for me...
-
Thank you! How would I go about executing the second option?
-
Yes but it's the same author, same full name, still one citation has the first name and the other one does not
-
Yes, sorry! It's APA 7
-
It seems it's neither of those options. At first I thought it was because the author's name was entered differently for the two different sources in the library, but I fixed that and the problem still remains.
-
Thank you! It's in order to limit the word count, I'm asking for a colleague who would like for the reference list to take up less room.
-
Yes, exactly. But I'm not sure how to export it in any format.
-
I see, thanks! But another problem is that if I don't set it up with the same sync account, it says the data from that initial sync account will be deleted from my computer.
-
Update: I think I managed to create another profile, but regardless of which profile I use to start Zotero, the library I'm synced to appears. How do I create a new data directory? I tried simply creating a new folder on my computer and directing Z…
-
I just mean that I've been unable to get multiple profiles using those instructions, but of course I might just be doing it wrong...
-
It doesn't change after the first time the same work is cited, it lists 5 authors for some works every time it is cited and inserts et al for others every time they are cited, even if the different works have the same number of authors. I assume it…
-
Well, it doesn't implement that. Sometimes five authors are listed, other times it cuts off and inserts et al when there are 3 authors or more. That's why it's inconsistent.
-
I see! I can't find the correct line in the code editor though...
-
I see! I moved it and now it looks great, thank you!
-
https://pastebin.com/RgVxjuep It's line 38

The validation worked and shows one error. It says this: Element “term” from namespace “http://purl.org/net/xbiblio/csl” not allowed as child of element “locale” from namespace “http://purl.org/net/xbiblio/csl” in this context. (Suppressing further…
-
It changed all of a sudden so that the first name no longer appears but now the same thing is happening with another author.
-
For the line in question it says "validation failed: missing scheme"
-
Do I input the entire code or only the line in question?
-
Actually I spoke too soon. It changed but trying to add it to Zotero it says the style is not valid.
-
Thank you, it worked!
-
Which row?
-
First and last names are entered in separate boxes. There is no blue bubble for this item in my Zotero library...
