With v7.0.5 of Zotero snapshots are indexed again!
-
Same here.

Oh, good to know, because I thought that the icon with the more rounded corners is the most recent one and is valid for all platforms, as it was shown in the official release notes: https://s3.amazonaws.com/zotero.org/images/forums/u5698380/fhrlurz…

Isn't it so that the most recent icon has more rounded corners? https://s3.amazonaws.com/zotero.org/images/forums/u5698380/iqp1nzxi07fcmgz8v25e.png

It's now possible to view attachments in the item list, as @dstillman mentioned above, so we can create saved searches with annotations too, but I still couldn't find a way to further filter those annotations by colour. Is this feature still missing…

I'm speaking about the main view of Zotero, the centre pane: https://s3.amazonaws.com/zotero.org/images/forums/u5698380/ocrfpgnasq4mrn277h1d.png The PDF of the Vitamin D3 paper contains an annotation with the tag "machen", which is coloured as blu…

This is still happening with the latest 7.0.0-beta.73+398454f85, which is quite confusing, due to inconsistency, since you scan for items in the main view that have the coloured circle and often miss the PDFs and snapshots with the corresponding tag…

With the latest Zotero 7 Beta pdfs are now opened even when Zotero isn't running in the background, great! But now the link always opens not the specified page, but the following, f.i. when clicking on zotero://open-pdf/library/items/GTW2HVPE?page=…

@gwestneat That's also my current go-to alternative! Can't wait when the global search with snippets (search results with context) will be implemented. Thanks for the awesome work you are doing!

@Kimitrois I don't have a perfect solution myself, but here you can read what I've done so far: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/comment/443231/#Comment_443231 https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/107692/zotero-7-beta-linking-doesnt-work-on-li…

It seems that recently the function of "shift" was changed to "alt", at least on my system (7.0.0-beta.53+969031a37 on Ubuntu). So to select a text behind an annotation, you have to press "alt" now, not "shift".

@mjthoraval Will have a look when time permits, thanks!

@apswartz I also have an AMD graphic card: AMD Ryzen 5 3400G with AMD Radeon Vega 11 Graphics Maybe that's the reason, because "mesa_glthread" from the error messages hints at an issue with the graphic card?

> Have you tried installing from the zotero-deb option for your Ubuntu 23.04, as mentionned in your other thread? That is working nicely for me, without any additional configuration steps. I remember switching to that installation process because…

That's so frustrating... After doing the steps described in this post (https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/comment/443441/#Comment_443441), now, after restoring the Zotero 7 Beta installation with all folders and tweaks so that linking should work…

> There is a section "Debian/Ubuntu-based Distros" on that page, linking to the zotero-deb solution maintained by retorquere. Thanks! Installing Zotero 6 was a mess! Used this deb file: https://mirror.mwt.me/zotero/deb/zotero_6.0.27_amd64.deb t…

@drsb Just one more question. It seems that Zotero must run in the background in order to open the proper entry/file, if it's not running and you click on a link, then it just opens Zotero, without selecting the linked entry/file. Can you confirm…

Can confirm that with Exec=/home/myusername/myzoteroprogramdir/zotero -url %U it finally works, thanks! Will create another thread about the proper content of zotero.desktop, see https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/107692/zotero-7-beta-linking-d…

@drsb this works, thanks! As you said, I get two links now: zotero://select/library/items/RRVBGNDY zotero://open-pdf/library/items/JAI9BBFJ?page=1&annotation=TSU6I2A3 But when clicking on them, Zim Wiki shows that the links can't be opened, a…

Ok, I've found the reason! In order for the sidebar to save its state, you have to open a document in a new tab, then open the sidebar, close the tab, open another document in a new tab and you'll see that the sidebar remains open there. Then you c…

> can you run the Zotero stable (from deb) without error? should it be possible to install both version alongside; Where can I find this deb file? The Ubuntu repo doesn't offer such a file, nor is the Zotero homepage. > another idea to check…

Do you open the new reader in a new window or just in a new tab of the main window? I always open it as a new window, maybe this is why the sidebar is always hidden here?
-
Whatever works! The main thing is that the export of underlines will be tweakable on its own. Thanks for considering this!
-
Are those missing spaces appearing before the start of a paragraph? I'm asking, because I had this issue with one PDF recently.

On the other hand, when preserving the state of the left-hand sidebar is implemented, see https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/107315/zotero-7-beta-state-of-left-hand-sidebar-in-pdf-epub-reader-should-be-remembered, then the proposed shortcut would …

To be sure, I'm speaking about the left-hand sidebar in the PDF/EPUB/HTML reader. I also don't have any plugins installed and created a fresh Zotero profile roughly one week ago.
