• Wait I tried it again today and now it seems to work. I'm not sure what happened but I did have to reconnect to my proxy (through my institution) to view the paper on the web, so maybe that fixed it?

• I did but we actually found the problem. He accepted invite to group but never pressed “Join” at Zotero.org. Doh! Thanks.
