Linking pre-prints to formal prints would be a nice feature in Zotero. @petermoleman Does BioRXiv have queryable metadata linking the two items? Does BioRXiv have an API to query the metadata for these pointers?

@dstillman Yes I am using linked files with ZotFile. Thank you for clarifying this. So If I use Zotero "Vanilla" (without Zotfile) then the items will be deleted, but if I don't then Zotfile will not delete them, and I am left with a large PDF store…

The other Program is XLingPaper. It holds all data in XML-FO format. So going to BibLaTex is not an option. https://software.sil.org/xlingpaper/ I did send a request out to the MODS community to see what the markup should look like. I got one reply…

Yes I do need to go through MODS. I'm using Zotero as Biblographic and PDF management, but I have another program which is XML based and then compiles to XeLaTeX. That application can only import citations as MODS or EndNoteXML.
