Firefox is now v 30.0, and translators were updated. I am indeed using Dropbox for the library, but that doesn't seem to influence Zotero from Chrome or Standalone. Difference between Firefox and Chrome is that the translator for e.g. ScienceDirect …

Yes it's pangaeA.de. Hope to see that feature soon as more and more data is being stored in repositories. It will also definitely be necessary to cite these sources in publications more often. Thanks for a great product!

Hi, I was just looking for a way to enter a data repository ref. easily and found this. I guess there's no translator to the site (www.pangaea.de), but entering the DOI "Add item by identifier" didn't work either. I wasn't aware of the right clicki…

Bummer. Would be so useful.

Hi, Has there been any progress on this topic since the last post? I would very much like to be able to save all citations in a Word bibliography to a Zotero collection. There was mention of third-party software that could do the trick. Any sugges…

I don't know why the software is not certified, but after having used it for 3 years, I'd say it is safe to install it. As I understand it, the certificate that is needed to not get the "unknown publisher" label by Windows basically just verifies t…

I also used the Saved search to rename all the imported PDFs. It took a while and Firefox went non-responsive, but in the end, good result.

Oh well duh! That worked much better :). Sloppy reading on my part, just picked the first Note I found. Ah well.

I already tried those things. Created new searches, edit existing ones. No luck.

Completely blank.

I just finished converting a ~470 reference EndNote library to Zotero and it was easy, fast and flawless. There were 2 references that appeared to have been imported wrong as the last name had been replaced by the initials. However this was easily f…

@adamsmith I tried ctrl+A in the first search window as I didn't realize you first had to make a saved search. But that seems simply enough to be usable. With that information you could keep the multiple notes after import. Which you have already de…

Personally I don't use all those other fields and would like to see just one note, however I do see the point of having one for each for people who really do use them. If there was an easy way to delete multiple objects in multiple records this woul…

Well that was not too complicated. Just that the Refman style needed some updating. Tomorrow I'll try it on the real EndNote library. Could all that data be consolidated into one single note instead of 3?

Got it to work first though :). I had only removed the indent but not the ^ that was there too. Removing that and the file was imported properly with PDFs. I did get 3 extra notes on each record though. 867ZP (this changes for each record) AD (au…

No there's no file path as the Refman style puts the URL in that spot instead and doesn't have the File attachment by default for the Journal Article template. Which is why I changed the style so that L1 is File attachment also in the Journal Articl…

Doesn't import PDF if URL is present: TY - JOUR AB - Stable carbon isotopes and C/N ratios of particulate organic matter (POM) in suspended solids, surficial sediments and sediment cores were used to define the spatial and temporal variability of…

Thanks for the input noksagt. I do use Windows 7 and I have no idea what a *nix script is, but it's good to know what went wrong. This script was the method that came up when I google this and it had a fairly recent input which made me think that th…

Ok so I tried the branch and figured out how to import the file. In my test library I had some references with URLs and some without and the PDFs are only imported if there is no URL available. This is probably due to teh fact that in the Refman Jou…

Sorry missed your edit there while I was writing. I didn't know about the new update, so perhaps I should just wait a week...

Thanks! But now I got another error message that ActiveX cannot create "UserAccounts.CommonDialog" Line 9, char 1

Hi, I'm trying to import a test library from EndNote to Zotero using these instructions. Since I don't really know anything about programming I'm unsure what parts of the script I need to modify to get it to work properly. I have exported my End No…

Maybe the use of Scopus depends more on subject rather than country? There are plenty of large universities in the US with access to Scopus and that's where I started using it after recommendations from other scientists. In any case, I have a m…

I too have a problem with Scopus as nothing happens when I click the icon. I just get an empty save window and not the usual Translator issue warning. I went through the troubleshooting list but didn't find anything that would solve the problem.
