@dadvar Just hover your name on this page with the mouse, and you can see what your user id is (usually at the bottom of your browser as the link): https://forums.zotero.org/profile/9676260/dadvar It is 9676260. Or just click on it, and it will be…

That was not a backup (it was an export), and CSV is not a recommended format. https://www.zotero.org/support/zotero_data#backing_up_your_zotero_data If you still have access to the old computer, I would suggest you do a proper backup, as explaine…

Hangi stili kullaniyorsunuz? Dokümanın sonuna gidip (ama dipnotta değil, ana metin içinde/altında), Zotero sekmesindeki Kaynakça Ekle'ye bastınız mı? Kaynağı, dipnottaki metni imlece alıp zotero dipnot atamayla yenilemek istendiğinde “Bir Zotero al…

It did for that one, but previously it's not with any consistency though, the only emails I have about forums posts are from your comment, ones on Sept 15th, Aug 24th May 1st... My guess is you received the first email, but did not visit the threa…

(I don't know if that is a bug or not, but I like this behavior as I *sometimes* want to delete one specific item, rather than merging, and it helps with visualizing the data for the specific item as I navigate via arrow keys. Getting back to "merge…

Any chance you are looking for an item under a subcollection? The default is that you do not see hits from a subcollection under your selected collection (that's my preference, often). If you want subcollection hits to show, go to the top menu, and…

Developers had indicated that they want to add this functionality in the future (from when "Omit author" was still called "Suppress author"). https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/93797/beta-suppress-author-not-working-in-the-new-note-editor#latest …

Those instructions say this: 3. Once you see your restored data, were you to sync again, the more recent data in the online library would replace the data you just restored, and you'll need to take steps to prevent that: and go on to explain what yo…

When using the connector on Pubmed, Zotero grabs full-text pdfs (and not the Pubmed Central pdfs) regularly. At least with the types of literature I save, maybe most of the time. For example, I just saved a Science Advances item from Pubmed, and the…

I can't see clearly how this is useful, but if you really want to re-save a web page without using Zotero's browser extensions, you can install the SingleFile plugin, save the web page as a single file, and drop it on your item. SingleFile is what Z…

What citation style are you using? If it is IEEE, their style changed a while ago, and Zotero now correctly cites them as [1], [2], [3], [4], [5] rather than the old [1-5]. https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/117301/default-ieee-style-multiple-cit…

@josephatkinson In my opinion, by every measure, Zotero 7 is a big improvement over 6. And seeing attachment descriptions instead of filenames makes sense to me. At some point, Zotero 6 will not work and won't be safe to use.

Zotero places the citation wherever you put it - inside the sentence or outside. With author-date style citations, I have not seen full-stops inside the parentheses. For example, https://writing.wisc.edu/handbook/documentation/docchicago/author-dat…

Right-click on the attachment in the center pane and choose Create Parent Item. If you know an identifier (like a DOI) for the item, you can manually paste it in the next window that pops up. If not, choose Manual Entry and manually enter data in th…

It's not that confusing: Remove from Collection, removes item from that specific collection, but not from other collections or the library root. It does not delete. When you right-click on items that are not in any collection, you do not get a "Re…

The list shows attachment title, not filename. Please read the link by dstillman above. If you want to change attachment title, you can do that at the top of the item pane on the right side of the Zotero window, but the attachment name will not be…

@Hasiba98 You can always right-click on the Zotero icon on that page, and choose "Save Link As..." in the context menu. Once you save the turkish-neurosurgery.csl file on your computer, you can go to Zotero's Settings -> Cite and click on the + b…

Better Bibtex plugin has been compatible for a long time. Just reinstall it fresh. Some old versions were failing to update. The current version is 6.7.235.

I think the old quicklook function, available through plugins most recently, but not in Zotero 7 (yet), is still more convenient and functional than the PDF preview. I understand the reasons it is not implemented (as mentioned before in the Forums),…

Moving in the whole Zotero data folder is the better way to do it. From that page: https://www.zotero.org/support/zotero_data#restoring_your_zotero_data_from_a_backup1 For example, storage subfolder from your backup would also allow you to also re…

ISBN numarasını yazabilir misiniz? Zotero ISBN katalogları olarak bazı kaliteli kaynakları kullanabiliyor (örn, US Library of Congress, Worldcat vs.). Eğer girdiğiniz kaynak bu kataloglarda yoksa, Zotero'nun kaynağı bulması mümkün değil.

Unless you changed it, the default locations of the data folders are as here: https://www.zotero.org/support/zotero_data C:\Users\\Zotero most likely for you. Make sure you have the zotero.sqlite file there (and that it is much greater than 5 MB i…

Also, the the DOI field has a link button (which will direct to the journal's webpage) to its right, and will also give you a https://doi.org/ link if you right-click choose Copy as URL.

(Interestingly, when I deleted that test item on the Android app and synced, my MacOS desktop app (which had the Trash collection selected) synced and the Trash icon turned full, but there were no items shown however many times I synced. Trash only …

I was certain that was not the case, but now it appears so. Issue resolved. I am not sure if it would be preferable to move to top after sync or not - some users might prefer to stay where they are looking. Thank you.

That's not the filename you are looking at. That's the attachment title. The filename is in the item pane on the right side when you click on the attachment entry in the center pane. https://www.zotero.org/support/file_renaming#attachment_title_vs_…

I should be saving all of my titles in sentence case then? Yes. The logic behind the title/sentence case conversions are here: https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/sentence_casing

Well, yes, you'd be using linked files, https://www.zotero.org/support/attaching_files but this would cause loss of Zotero attachment syncing. You can recover some of this by syncing the new linked attachment folder by some other means, but not c…
