Fantastic! Loving the pdf reader and annotation tools and the seamless note generation. Thank you! I do not have a feature request or an issue, but a question: I saw that highlights I do in the new pdf reader are not saved in the file itself. Is th…

How about quicklook? Instead of having the cursor over the item, pressing space bar gets me a preview of the pdf, which is scrollable to see all pages. Hitting space bar gets rid of it. Here is the plugin for it: https://github.com/mronkko/ZoteroQu…

Are there plans for developing a Word add-in on iOS? That would allow me to finally use my iPad for work.

It was recently reported that records that were created within the last 24 hours may not be accessible through NCBI's API, which means the translator may not have access to them. https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/comment/373741/#Comment_373741 …

This style stems from the NLM style, with a modification for grants as explained here: https://grants.nih.gov/grants/how-to-apply-application-guide/format-and-write/format-attachments.htm#citations It is used by all faculty, students, postdocs and …

@scherly You may have a different issue than I. I suggest that you make sure that Zotero indeed updated after restarting. If it does, then it is not a big issue after all.
-
This appears to be the same problem as this on Macs: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/67067/checking-for-updates-doesnt-let-you-update-if-update-is-already-downloaded#latest Over the years, this behavior has not changed for me, but it is really…

I do not get any errors as gz0 mentioned, but I am always getting duplicated snapshots from BiorXiv. With and without addons, and with or without VPN. Here is a debug ID from the connector: D2046828332 (with my only other firefox addon [singlefile]…

Cool. You concatenated them with a "/", converted to ISO. Good to know. Thank you!

@adamsmith Thank you. I did come about one construction, which is still problematic. Check this entry, which has a date November 2018, probably served as "11 2018": https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/30133126/ Zotero interprets this as "11 2018 d y",…

I understand. I was wondering if I should attempt, but I probably shouldn't. Thank you very much.

Am I getting this right that Dan is proposing to make Zotero interpret all numeric months so any fixes to the translator would become moot? If that's not the case, is there another translator that interprets numeric months properly whose parts can …

I can confirm that abbreviations are now captured using both the translator in Firefox, and the Add Item(s) by Identifier button. Thank you very much!
-
To complete my report above, the "Add Item by Identifier" button, which may be using the eutils page, also does not save abbreviations. If this is all by design, apologies...

Gönderme yapmak istediğinizde, Add/Edit Citation'a basın. Küç…

Plugin added to the "Plugins for Zotero" page under Item Metadata Import: https://www.zotero.org/support/plugins#new_features_and_enhancements

It is working like a charm. Thank you! Until Zotero gets an update-item function that updates all bibliographic data, this will help those of us needing to write federal grants in the US. I will post the next issue on Github.

After working for a bit, the plugin stopped receiving PMCIDs. I tried it on a variety of items, and also tried it after manually deleting the PMCIDs from items retrieved from Pubmed before. Nothing shows up in the error console. Happy to help debug …

@granto Did you try to install this in Firefox by double clicking? That's a common mistake. This is intended for Zotero. Go to Zotero -> Tools -> Addons and install it there. I just did, and it works beautifully. Thank you, @emilianoeheyns …

I tested it with the latest beta (5.0.88-beta.9+bccf5ff0b) on my Mac, and yes, none of the actions Zotero undertakes, including adding a citation, editing a citation, adding a bibliography, and changing the citation style, get registered as tracked …
-
It does not work for me. Interestingly, it appears to be style dependent. For example, if I use Cell (author-date) when track changes are on, upon adding a new citation, only the bibliography gets a bunch of new track changes, including multiple fo…

That would be fantastic! I thought this used to work in the past, but for a while this has been a serious hassle.

Ah, I had just assumed "at %S" was the physical location for the backup. I did not see a reason to check github for that. There is no issue then. Thank you!
-
From the latest batch of strings to be translated: "%S can attempt to restore from the last automatic backup from %S at %S." I cannot think of a simple way to translate this without changing the order of the second and third variables. In Turkish, …

Problem on my OS 10.13.6 MBP is solved if I set the value of "Show scroll bars" under System Prefeerences -> General to the non-default "Always". Then, Zotero immediately moves away the + sign and opens up space for the scroll bar. Of course, yo…

I may not help troubleshoot this, but I thought this just happened with hidden scroll bars, especially when they enlarged, covering the plus keys. It happens in the center pane, too (and not only with Zotero, but everything with hidden scroll bars i…

Have you tried restarting your computer? Or depending on your OS, quit the JurisM/Zotero apps, find the still running Zotero job (if there is one) and kill it?
-
Got it. True, I have come across many of those. Thank you. Somehow this was initially hard to translate with the variables and the third-person singular pronoun causing an ambiguity in the translation. Issue resolved, I think.
-
I may have come across another string that has two variables, but not using numbered placeholders. The string sync.error.invalidDataError appears to call two variables: Zotero.Libraries.get(e.libraryID).name and Zotero.clientName. But the untransl…
