I tried today and the issue is resolved. This must have been an issue on their webpage, which got fixed. Consider the issue closed.

"Zoom to Page Height" is also in the context menu, when you right-click within the PDF viewer.
-
If you want to move, rather than copy items to other collections, press command on Mac/shift on Windows while dragging the item.

There is now at least one functional Quicklook replacement for Zotero 6 available here: https://github.com/Regulust/ZoteroQuickLook/releases It works on my Mac, no idea about Windows. Using this again reminded me how much faster it is to review man…

Looks like you need to go to your Mac's System Preferences -> Mouse or Trackpad, and make sure you have the Secondary Button enabled.

Just tried it with a random source, and it does work fine. You'd need to find what the difference is between the items which show the date as written in Extra (İlave), and the ones that do not. It is important that you are entering the text as date…

1410/1979 is supposed to show a date range (başlangıç ve bitiş tarihleri), like this: 1410–1979. Not alternate dates, I think. Which style are you using in your word processor? This is something you set when you started working in your document, an…

You can't really do this in Zotero, but you can instead trick Zotero by entering the hijri date as an "original date" You need to use a specific format, like this, in Extra (İlave). original-date: 1310 Here is a related thread from the forums: ht…

Shouldn't have assumed. Thanks for the correction. A tab menu will indeed be a really useful addition.
-
You did explain yourself well. Similar feature requests have been made. I assume the devs may be considering it and they would respond separately.

Since Zotero is based on Firefox, Cmd-1 on Mac (Ctrl-1 on Win/Linux) takes me back to first/main library tab. Cmd-9 (Ctrl-9) takes me to the last (rightmost) tab. Very useful. I am not aware of a shortcut that takes one to the last visited tab out …

Is the "Include URLs of paper articles in references" under Zotero Preferences -> Cite -> Styles checked or not?
-
These items have year and month, but no day (very common for journals that publish monthly). That's correct whether you import NCBI's nbib file, save straight from Pubmed webpage, or use PMID or DOI using Add Item by Identifier. Are you sure you are…
-
By references, if you mean bibliography, do you have "Automatically update citations" unchecked in the document's Zotero Preferences? If so, you might have simply added new citations, but the bibliography requires a manual refresh to appear again. (…

There are ~30 different columns to sort items by, not counting additional ones that plugins can add. You just have to right-click on the column headers and choose/add or remove whatever you want to sort on, if you are in Zotero 6. Just choose Date t…

This specific issue with the Pubpeer plugin just got fixed in version 0.0.14, so thank you! https://github.com/PubPeerFoundation/pubpeer_zotero_plugin/issues/31

Simply restarting Zotero will complete the installation sometimes.

I am working on a nine-year old, cheap computer with a Zotero library of ~9000 items with thousands of pdfs attached (and with a lot of annotations and notes now, thanks to Zotero 6). Zotero 6 still performs OK, but with 10+ PDFs open, it does slow …
-
@whalp Did you right-click on top of the columns, and choose the relevant columns to be added to the view?
-
You can select an area (such as a figure or picture) within Zotero's PDF reader, and drag that into an existing note? If you are working with PDFs (as most academics do), this is a very useful and new feature, and fully supported in Zotero 6. No nee…

@xushiyin Then, just a single-click on the DOI label or the URL label on the right-side pane (in the Info tab) will get you to the online item. Not the contents next to the DOI/URL fields, but literally on top of the words DOI and/or URL (whichever …

See the page: https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/annotations_in_database and specifically the heading, "Interacting with Embedded Annotations". Explains how to transfer read-only external annotations, and make them editable via import.
-
No, that's the exact expected behavior. The annotations are not written to the PDF file, unless you wanted them exported. Read why here: https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/annotations_in_database Zotero 6 has been in beta in for many months, tested…
-
@jcrisco If you want to have Zotero's PDF reader as default, but be able to use an external reader once in a while, you can always right-click on the PDF, choose "Show File", and open that file with your File Manager (e.g., Finder on Mac OS) with wh…

@emilianoheyns I saved the log (746973528) with all other plugins removed or disabled, except Pubpeer. Here is a link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/f97y3o789pqsju0/Error_Log_746973528.txt?dl=0 The error console also has a lot of messages like this:…

It appears I might have had the same problem a few weeks ago. Does this ring a bell? https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/comment/399052 It was the PubPeer add-on for me. This only happened on one of my computers otherwise set up identically, so it…

The many open PDFs is also becoming a problem for me too, and this could be useful. It is helpful that if you hover over the tabs, you get to see a full title - author - year of the item without changing tabs, and that's already quite useful.

Go to Zotero's Preferences -> General -> Open PDFs using System Default or a Custom app.

Have you checked this out? https://www.zotero.org/support/adding_items_to_zotero Zotero's way is as easy as it gets. Go to the webpage for the article (not the PDF) on an academic journal's webpage. Click the Save to Zotero button in your browser. …
