My data directory is on my local drive. I suspect it may have to do with our institutions firewall. But without a detailed understanding of the issue for them, its tough to get them to respond.

Ugh, its back! If I go to any PubMed link (e.g. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/?term=H.+Salem+and+T.+R.+C.+Davis++Six+year+outcome+excision) The only icon that shows for Zotero says: "Save to Zotero (WEB PAGE WITH SNAPSHOT) Has access to this…

Today, I get the same icon for Webpage snapshot, but then it quickly changes to a page icon. Clicking on that icon uploads the references correctly into Zotero. So, issue resolved itself. Seems like the Webpage snapshot may always come up first …

Thanks for the great thoughts! Tags - did not think of that and sounds like our best option Date added - dont think that will work because both libraries are being added to. Dups - we have tried and is our fall back, but has been very laborious f…

thanks for the quick response and support! reinstalled and everything was just as it was! I'd like to blame it on our institution IS policies, but I cant find any evidence of that.

Thanks Adam! I was having trouble understanding XML text in Notepad, but then downladed XML Notepad and its was easy to find and edit.

Seems obvious to me now :) In my humble opinion clarifying this in documentations/FAQ would be helpful.

I think this may be related. A question: I click on a PDF that says is attached and it tells me it cant locate it. I have the option of locating it. I do. I find the PDF in another folder on my computer and select it. The window closes, ev…

Yes we did recently upgrade space. The PDFs are listed as attached files. If were never uploaded why do they show up as being attached ? The other strange thing is that there are some references, that I know never had PDFs. For these …

Hi, not sure i am following you about the two syncing. Under Preferences, I simply have the Data Directory Location set to CUSTOM and specify H:\Zotero References. I do this because H:\ is backed up while C:\ is not. I understand the blue dot is…
-
Yes H:\ is one our servers. Its been setup that way since we starting using Zotero, a few years ago.

The reference PDF existed as an attachment, then the blue dot turned open. Clicking on the PDF in Zotero gave the error that the file could not be located. A search outside Zotero located the correct PDF in ...\UFTT5MF8. I just checked and I …

We are having a similar problem and as best I can tell its not related to syncing as described above. Once upon a time all PDF were available to our group. Then over the past few weeks the blue dots started showing up unfilled. Clinking on th…
