D999441610 should show me opening a new document and opening the document preferences window twice (once through "add citation", once through "document preferences". In both cases I could just scroll down to IEEE.

I'm using 7.0.0-beta.95 on Kubuntu 24.04. It turns out that pressing the downarrow and then enter does switch the tab, but there's no visual indication that a tab is selected or that a tab is selected at all.

You can use this script (https://github.com/politikundbildung/kindle_to_pdf) to convert Kindle highlights into PDF highlights, which can then be imported into Zotero. It doesn't work perfectly but is better than nothing.

I still see this in 7.0.0-beta.93. Screenshot: https://s3.amazonaws.com/zotero.org/images/forums/u5025031/a72zl4o0oypohg44afv4.png

It sounds like unchecking "View - Use Dark Mode for Content" might do what you want.

Great thank you!

In an OCRed PDF, Zotero detects some random sentences as Outline: https://s3.amazonaws.com/zotero.org/images/forums/u5025031/4kv0unsu2103h72jibqz.png Maybe it is because I quite often work with OCRed texts, but so far the outline detection featur…

I still encounter the problem of each letter being separate when annotating slightly skewed and OCRed texts. I've noted, however, that this mostly concerns text that skew downwards (from left to right). Another example: https://s3.amazonaws.com/zote…

Thank you! I still notice that the last selected bookmark remains highlighted, even after clicking somewhere else in the file - this is a bit misleading because it gives the impression of currently reading a chapter you aren't. https://s3.amazonaws…

One more observation: pressing enter still works and successfully changes the page number and closes the pop-up

In this file (http://nbn-resolving.de/urn:nbn:de:0111-pedocs-141044), I've found that Zotero falsely assumes that a lot of normal German words are references (for example the article "Die"): https://s3.amazonaws.com/zotero.org/images/forums/u502503…

I just did and it doesn't seem to crash any more - thank you!

It is, thank you!

I have a similar problem when using two screens: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/108893/z7-beta-annotation-tag-pop-up-opens-on-wrong-screen#latest

Okay, I'll keep them coming in this case: In this book (http://link.springer.com/10.1007/978-3-322-80378-8), the extraction just extracts the book's title: https://s3.amazonaws.com/zotero.org/images/forums/u5025031/qvbuogn2t2sinkd5nyrz.png In this…

So far I've noticed quite a few cases in which the outline extraction produces somewhat unhelpful results. In this PDF, for example (https://www.degruyter.com/document/doi/10.1524/9783050060187/html), Zotero just recognizes the PDFs table of content…

I just sent you a file that leads to the crash. Thanks for looking into it!

I also get a "selectionRanges[0] is undefined"-error when trying to highlight or select text in this PDF: https://doi.org/10.1007/978-3-476-00023-1_4 I can select text in this PDF in Firefox, but no selection is possible in Zotero.

Yes, choosing grey as an accent color makes active selections look like this: https://s3.amazonaws.com/zotero.org/images/forums/u5025031/c21y6cs9lo8m1r7feg07.png

The problem with the white text on a light background is especially pronounced in the library pane: https://s3.amazonaws.com/zotero.org/images/forums/u5025031/tjjeif8dy8shstldp798.png Native KDE apps like Dolphin display text as black which is muc…

It seems to be a problem with the numbers in this specific PDF; copying them in Firefox's pdf.js also only displays them as boxes.
-
I've managed to capture a debug log: D1011736880

Scrolling up does make the note re-appear; there are no empty lines at the end though.

The automatic removal of hyphens has really drastically improved, thank you! Of course I'm mostly working with German texts at the moment, where there aren't many "false positives".
-
Yes, I think it's the same problem in both cases - Zotero mistakes the index for the bibliography (in my lay understanding). Great to hear it'll be fixed, thank you!

Another example from the same book: https://s3.amazonaws.com/zotero.org/images/forums/u5025031/flccse5jnk18sc3qmb50.png

Great, thank you! I'm looking forward to it.
-
Just did so, thank you!
-
I'm afraid I can't notice any - annotating the same text as in the screenshot leads to the exact same result.

Here's another example from the book I'm currently reading. I have to manually remove almost all hyphens - in some cases Zotero removes them automatically but I still haven't figured out why it sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. https://s3.amaz…
