There's an add-on that can do that. You can find some discussion about it here: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/103205/is-it-possible-to-extract-references-from-article-pdfs-webpage

I just sent you an e-mail. I have no plugins enabled.

In 7.0.0-beta.42+2db19ad4c the problem does not appear to be fully fixed. While I've not noticed Zotero pulling together words, the beta is still not as good at removing hyphens as version 6 was. In this screenshot (https://i.imgur.com/bH8RI88.png…

I just wanted to report that in the current Zotero 7 Beta, problem b) still remains. I can highlight text spanning two columns, but the annotation list will be wrongly sorted (https://i.imgur.com/1EkTHu8.png - the PDF in question is https://doi.org/…

After some years I've finally found a nice solution for the problem: In about:config set browser.download.open_pdf_attachments_inline to true. Afterwards Firefox will not clutter the Download folder with pdfs and importing pdfs into Zoero is a bit e…

The problem seems to be fixed in the newest beta - thank you very much!
-
I guess that is probably a related problem, but I've noticed that after changing an annotation's colour it often takes me three or four attempts to be able to drag it somewhere.
-
Perfect, thank you!

Thank you, I will do so!
-
Wonderful, thank you.
-
Oh yes, sorry, that seems to be the same problem - I had not found that thread before posting. Thank you!
-
It is possible to have files in your library that are not in folders - when you did not move them into folders or import them into folders, they will just be in your library.
-
Perfect, thank you!

While making the video I've managed to narrow down the problem, I think; it occurs when deleting the line break preceding the quotation and then deleting the quotation marks. Video here: https://heibox.uni-heidelberg.de/f/43528035eb0e48eda44c/

1) I don't have any plugins installed and enabled. 2) Yes, happens immediately after releasing the mouse button.
-
I've just noticed that the problem (deleting a leading quotation marks deletes the whole quotation after it) persists in 7.0.0-beta.39.
-
Perfect, thank you!

It appears the behaviour is different depending on where the note editor is opened. When it is opened in a reader tab, Ctrl+F does indeed focus the input, but still it isn't possible to close it by pressing Escape (instead Escape seems to focus the …

Yes, I understand that there are changes (and I am usually looking forward to them), I just wasn't sure whether this was intentional or not. Thank you for the clarification!
-
I don't fully understand your problem. Have you tried File -> Print?
-
As my notes are growing longer & longer I wanted to quickly repeat this wish for an easier way to navigate them. I know that the BetterNotes add-on can provide a TOC for notes, but I'd prefer to use as few add-ons as possible (especially since I…

Yes, that makes sense, I had just never thought about it (probably because I don't really read the information in the sidebar and in the past renaming the file had changed the title) and had always assumed that title and filename were the same.
-
Thank you for the explanation and the link - I somehow didn't find this thread when searching for similar issues. I don't find the distinction between filename and attachment title particularly intuitive and titles like "Full Text PDF" rather nonde…

Perfect, thank you!

To be more precise: I think the problem is not the grey box, but that Zotero loads a second library pane.
-
I think that for PDFs your work-around might work reasonably well. ePubs might be a problem though, because often they do not contain proper page numbers and getting annotations into Zotero might be somewhat more difficult, because they are not st…

Moving the tabs via the right click menu still works btw.
-
Possibly related: After a triple click selection it is not possible to replace the selected text by starting to type. Replacing text after selecting it using the mouse is possible. (I'm using the current Z7 Beta).

It only occurs with the most recently created annotation in a document - highlighting a word or phrase in an older annotation does not lead to the cursor jumping. As far as I can see it happens for all newly created annotations (I don't know how I…
