Thank you, @adamsmith You're right, it sounds like a good idea. I've just tried it. Here is what I get (with the name of the show in italics) : Sarclo. Sarclo Sings Dylan (in French): Quatre Guitares et Un Enterrement. Atypic Theatre, Avignon. …

Thanks a lot ! Done. :-) Have a nice day

I completely agree with you. If it's the same dictionary, I suppose it would be the same content, whether it is online or not. Yes, adding it to the title could be a solution too, but I think I will keep it in archive, as it allows me to put this i…

Well, actually, from what I've found, if it's a paper dictionary, it requires the usual info of a book, and if it's an online dictionary, it requires the URL and the date when it was consulted. The problem is I can't find anything in between "in pr…

@bwiernik Do you mean with the item "dictionary entry" ? I've just tried it, but it doesn't yield anything in MLA. I get exactly the same thing : Stevenson, Angus, editor. “Talking Blues.” Oxford Dictionary of English, 3rd ed, Oxford University P…

Well, actually, I've just checked, and it seems that in MLA a personal interview is just : Last Name of Interviewee, First Name M. Type of Interview (Personal Interview, Phone Interview, Skype Interview, etc.). Date. So Zotero is doing exactly what…
-
@bwiernik I am using MLA
-
Thank you @bwiernik I've just tried, I typed exactly this : Event place: Lyon Is there something wrong ? I even tried to restart Zotero, but it does not write any place in the citation.
-
I'm on Zotero 5.0.55, but I still can't see how to indicate WHERE the interview take place. Is there a way to do it ?
-
OK. Thanks @bwiernik. I think restarting is the easiest option :-)
-
Yes, I do have an idea ! xD No need to bother, I've just turned off Zotero AND LibreOffice, restarted both, and it's repaired. Sometimes just a little magic... Sorry for disturbing, hope my "fix" will help someone someday, maybe...
-
Thank you very much, @bwiernik ! Very useful, as always. It does work indeed ! When there is a predefined style, Zotero does not mess up the layout. :-)
-
@bwiernik Sorry, I forgot to mention I was using LibreOffice. I don't know if it works the same way. I have to admit I have never used that sort of things, AND I don't know Word that much, because before I started transitioning to LibreOffice (in…
-
Thank you SOOO MUCH, @bwiernik ! Your answers are ALWAYS so useful and clear ! I hadn't even thought of using that xD Have a very nice day !
-
@adomasven Sorry, but I don't understand your answer. I have exactly the same issue, and the "paragraph properties", if that's what they are called, were line spacing 1.5, but each time I add a citation, it changes it to 1. Of course, it only takes…

@bwiernik Yes, I did try the Edition field. My only issue with it is that when I write "ePub", it yields "Epub", putting an automatic capital letter. However, I've tried to do some research, and although I though it was the convention to write it "…

@LiborA Thank you. The second option is impossible. I am writing my whole thesis in MLA. @bwiernik What do you mean exactly ? What do you need me to tell you ? Below is the best information I have found on MLA 8, I believe, with an example at the e…

Actually, I've just double checked. What it should yield is something like this, apparently, in MLA 8, with the indication "ePub ed." or whatever, just after the title. MLA Handbook. 8th ed., Kindle ed., Modern Language Association of America, 2016…
-
@bwiernik I just tried putting medium: ePub book in Extra, but it does not yield anything. All I get is this : Shelton, Robert. No Direction Home: The Life and Music of Bob Dylan. Omnibus Press, 2011. I would like to have "ePub file" at the end, a…

@bwiernik OK. Thank you very much for your help. It's a VERY good workaround indeed. Concerning the EP / LP / CD issue, I suppose you're waiting for an answer from @adamsmith before you can answer me.
-
@bwiernik Thank you very much for your quick answer. If I understand well, adding "container title" just avoids creating a new field, like the Journal Title field for articles, for example. Since I don't know how Zotero works, I'm just wondering if…
-
@bwiernik Wow ! Thanks a lot ! You're right, that was exactly the reason ! It works fine now. I have a question, though. Sometimes, in MLA, you indicate the format, such as : Dylan, Bob. “Motorpsycho Nitemare.” Another Side of Bob Dylan, CBS, 1964…
-
Dear Bwiernik, Do you think you will be able to solve the problem any time soon ? Or should I just use the temporary fix I have found ? Thank you
-
PING bwiernik ;-)
-
Thank you fbennett AND bwiernik. So the idea is to be able to do an in-text citation AND therefore to also have it in the final bibliography. It would be difficult to say if I'm also going to need to cite it in a content note at some point. Maybe, …
-
OK, so here it goes. Example of the song Motorpsycho Nitemare, by Bob Dylan. I chose Audio Recording I filled in the title of the song : Motorpsycho Nitemare I filled in the performer fields : Dylan / Bob I filled in the label : CBS I filled in the …

Thank you DWL-SDCA. I will just keep using my temporary fix for the moment and follow the conversation until some sort of « solution » is found. Not perfect, but for the moment it seems to work. I hope it can help other less-experienced users who ar…
-
Thank you both for trying to help me. I must admit I'm having a hard time following the conversation, right now, as : - I don't know what CSL is - I don't see what you mean by "container-title" / "container structure" Unless there is a simple way f…
-
Right now I'm using MLA. The whole point of having a "song" file type is to make sure that it will also transfer to other styles. For the moment, I have found a way around it with "book section", but I have no idea if that would work if I suddenly …
-
Thank you bwiernik. As I said, the problem is that audio recording does not export right with quotation marks for the song, italics for the album... I guess it's for something else, maybe audiobooks, I don't know. For the moment, the only way I ha…
