Dear Zotero developers, This problem still exists with Zotero 5.0.66 on macOS 10.14.4 (Dutch system language). I hope it can be resolved since it affects probably also other users with a non-English system language using macOS Mojave.

Confirmed — the problem is solved in Zotero 4.0.28.4 w/ Firefox 41. Thank you very much for your quick response!

I have exactly the same problem. However, I can use Zotero Standalone 4.0.17. Downgrading to Zotero for Firefox 4.0.16 works for me.
