Adam, could you put on your wishlist of enhancements that the quotation mark work in the classic Add citation dialog? It works in standalone zotero, ZFF, and the new Add citation dialog, but not in the classic one. Thanks.

We have "Automatically take snapshots . . ." and "Automatically attach associated PDFs . . ." unchecked. We create them manually on a case by case basis. Thanks!

Thanks for the tip! Makes a big difference. Not quite sure what you mean by file syncing. We all have syncing set to automatic and the syncing is through your server.

Hi, we use Zotero for Firefox or Zotero standalone. We have a group library with about 20 users on it and searching is getting slower and slower. Frequently as one types in the search term it delays after you type in the first couple letters. Also, …

This is to let you know how this worked out. We set the document settings to store references in the document. We created a folder in our group library, moved all references into that folder and exported them. We imported them into a new library at …

If we copy the references to a different group that is only shared with that client, will the reference in that group work with the document?
-
Is there a way to export the references from our zotero group library and send them to our client for import into their zotero library so they work with the document?
-
Great! I brought over a document to a new install of Zotero and was able to add a reference. Is there a way to import the references from the document into the library I'm working with?
-
Hi. We need to deliver a few documents to a client such that they can make changes, including adding to the reference list. Each document has over a hundred references. We don't want to give the client access to our group library. How is this best h…

Thanks for the fix. Much better now!

Please recheck. It appears that the behavior has changed. Sorry. I was wrong. It's the same.

Also, when the right pane is smaller than the minimum height the pane does not scroll as you tab through the fields. You can tab into fields below the ones you see.

Is there a way to make abstracts display the way they used to? Here's an item with a large abstract. The focus is not on the abstract field. It is very large. http://www.mdm-inc.com/abstract_without_focus.jpg Here's the same item, but…

Yes. In the styles I'm working on the issue number is included only if it is a supplement. In that case "supp" is part of the issue number. You can't test whether "sup" is part of the contents of issue and is-numeric can't be used to detect that "Su…

There's a problem with the right pane, too. http://www.mdm-inc.com/zoterorightpane.jpg This is scrolled as low as it will go. You can't see what's lower in the pane without making Zotero taller. Windows 7, FireFox 9.0.1

I can't provide additional screenshots without revealing proprietary work. As you can see in this screenshot, the bottom of the scrollbar is truncated. If the height of Zotero is shortened with the slider near the bottom, it also disappears. Yo…

I have Firefox 9.0.1 configured to automatically check for updates to add-ons. It's also configured to "Ask me what I want to do". It didn't ask. Just installed the update. Guess that's more of a Firefox issue than a Zotero issue.

Here's a jpeg on our server: http://www.mdm-inc.com/scrollbars_gone.jpg Note the scroll bars.

Hmmm. I guess that's true. One can add Publisher to the middle pane, although it's not sorted with the author. In the styles we use the publisher isn't treated as the author. Why does the Document type lack a Place field when it has a P…

So is-numeric will return true on "Supp 1" as well as on "23". Hmmm. Thanks!
-
But you can test whether the content is numeric, right? You could do the following:
-
Another question. Looking at the citation style language I don't see a function that would allow one to test whether a field contains a specific text string. What I need to do is test whether the issue field contains an indication that it was a supp…

jmyers figured out to sort by date the collections she was most interested in and deleted everything added on that date. That was actually a pretty easy fix. If you're seeing only 423 items she has already deleted around 2500 items. Are there about …

Hi guys. We logged in the user on a Windows 7 computer, installed and setup zotero to sync as the user, and got the full database downloaded. Then we copied it to her computer. We also copied the database to another XP computer that another person h…

There was another citation for #51. We deleted all citations for 50-52, deleted the reference list and then re-inserted the citations. Now all is well. Thanks!
-
Yes, 51 appears in the text. I've deleted and re-inserted it twice.

Value in Health uses a numbered citation in brackets [1]. The numbers in the reference table do not have periods. The references are otherwise indented. Examples are given below. Up to 3 authors are listed, then et al. Article titles are in lower…

Hi Adam, Julie rebooted the computer, brought up Firefox, made sure that Zotero was starting to sync and didn't open anything else. It crashed within a couple minutes. Can we update her Zotero database from another computer? I don't know if …
-
Dan, does going to 3.0 involve changes in the database? We have 15 users who share a group database. Would we all have to upgrade? Also, is 3.0 still in beta? Generally we don't use beta software for critical business functions.

Hi Dan, I work with Julie. We uninstalled Zotero and FireFox this morning, reinstalled it and rebooted. She continued to use the computer, however, to do her work. This has been an on-going issue for her. Firefox/Zotero had been crashing repeatedl…
