Belated thanks – the problem seems to have resolved itself, as the bibliography is now transferring with live links each time I save a new version. Thanks for your response.
-
Ok – that's what I figured. It's not a huge problem, as I don't have that many new citations to add. Thanks.

I did exactly what bweirnik said, which is what allowed me to convert the Googledoc to MSWord. So, am I understanding correctly that the original citations in the MS Word doc can no longer be merged (within Zoom) with new citations that I now add?
-
Excellent! That resolved the problem! Thanks so much for your assistance. :-)

Aaargh. Ok. Sorry I missed that. The refresh function did indeed work on the downloaded MSWord doc. But that was only a test case. In other words, my co-author and I are still working on the original document in GoogleDocs, and now when I save a co…

Thanks – but I'm still encountering problems. First, I followed the directions at the hyperlink on a version of the GoogleDoc where I had already changed the formatting from Chicago Author Date to Chicago Full Note, and GoogleDoc converted this to …

Thank you both. I figured out a work around. As recommended, I clicked on "Edit Bibliography" and then I went citation by citation and removed those that didn't belong. So, I'm all set. :)
-
Thank you. I tried the first recommendation above, but the "Revert All" button is greyed out/not active. Before I move onto the time consuming recommendation of recreating the document by cutting and pasting individual segments, do you have any th…

PS: I tried deleting the Bibliography and reinserting via the Zotero command for "Insert Bibliography", but again, the bibliography that gets inserted contains a bunch of sources that are NOT cited in the text. Very, very odd.

Hello Adam & Bwiernik, I sincerely appreciate your efforts at assistance; and I trust that this is a fixable problem. But I am getting nowhere trying to follow your directions. Rather than spending more time trying to explain my (unsuccessful) …

Hi Adam, I appreciate the swift response, but I'm not entirely sure what you're recommending I do. One thing I have noticed is when there is a Track Changes text box in the right margin regarding an in-text Zoteror citation, if I selected "Reject,"…

How do I "rehide"?
-
Thanks – I ended just searching my full collection for the principle term and recreating the collection. Much appreciated.
-
Thank you, both! The link provided by bwiernik worked. It took me a few minutes to find the new Zotero icons within the more recent version of MSWord, but it all seems to be working great now. Much thanks, -Theo

Thanks Adam – I successfully installed a new plug-in for MSWord and everything seems to be working fine. I appreciate your assistance.
-
Can you please offer direction, i.e. how do I remove the current plug-in and replace with a new one? Thanks.
-
Yup – I am able to open PDFs from within the Zotero window in Firefox. Excellent! NOW... there is one problem remaining. I am unable to insert citations from within MSWord. When I click on the Zotero icon in MSWord, I get the following error me…

Thanks Dan – Since my previous message, I updated the Java plug-in and restarted Firefox (regarding another problem), and voila, all of sudden the Zotero data was populated in Firefox plug-in. I have no idea if this was related to the Java upda…

Hello, I am picking up on this thread from about a year ago, because I have encountered the same problem again. When updating Firefox (now 47.0.1), I lost all of the Zotero data in the Firefox plug-in. I followed the directions above: I c…

Thank you. I ended up resolving this issue through another method. My friend exported and then I imported the MSWord file as “Endnote XML.” It worked seamlessly.
-
Excellent! That helped. I made the change and it worked. Thanks so much for the assistance. As an academic, Zotero is one of my most important applications, by far, and despite some minor glitches the software works amazing well. I'm a huge fa…

Thanks. I can see comments in the Firefox PDF viewer, but interaction with the document is clumsy, and I'm not sure if/how to make new comments. I'm trying to follow directions to fix this...and upon clicking on "about:config" Firefox opens up…

I'm using Firefox 38.0.1

It says: "zotero://attachment/6684/"

Instead of the PDF (that lives on my computer, and upon which I've already made comments) opening up as an independent file, it opens up in Firefox's built-in PDF viewer.

Dear Colleagues, Belated thanks for your timely and detailed feedback. I've been traveling the last few weeks, thus the delayed response. During this period I also upgraded my Macintosh OS + Firefox. The Zotero library is now fully intact withi…

Adam -- thank you so much. I wasn't aware that function existed, but as you point out, the "restore" button pops up when you select the items. Much Thanks!
-
Belated Thanks! You are both correct: This was easily fixed directly in MS Word. I sincerely appreciate your assistance.
-
Wow. Somehow I missed that step. It's now working. Thanks so much!

Ok. Roughly when will that be? If not within the next 90 minutes, when I have to go, will I need to log back in?
