  • I think ctrl + F9 works, but I haven't used OOo for a while...
  • With regards to subtitles, how should Zotero be able to differentiate between titles where the question mark introduces the subtitle, and where it does not? Similarly, the middle initial A requires either intelligence or a rather good algorithm...
  • Unless I'm mistaken, the references inserted by Zotero (both in-text and in the list of references at the end) are based on the "Normal" style (i.e. they don't specify a particular font). Now, if you're manually changing the font to something e…
  • If the other person is only going to read the document, there should not be any problem (just send it). The references in the fields should not be changed. If the other person does have Zotero and updates the fields (i.e. not just adding comments et…
  • Does the feature now apparently in the trunk allow to merge duplicate entries?
  • You can already consolidate tags: right-click on any tag, and rename it with the name of an existing tag.
  • You can merge citations manually... (1) press shift + F9 to reveal the field codes. (2) copy the {"itemID":"111"} bit from one reference to another, making sure to add a comma between (3) add ,"position":1 after each item, so each cur…
  • Oh, great...!
  • Just as a thought, could this be implemented as a duplicate combiner rather than remover? This way any document linking to a duplicate won't get lost. So rather than deleting the duplicate, remove it and make sure that both references link to the co…
  • For those who tried to remove the table of contents or index, Zotero sometimes struggles with the references to these; so make sure to show the paragraph marks, and then search for curly brackets and XE=; remove these and Zotero works again.
  • I experimented a bit with shift+F9, and it seems possible to resolve this manually by adding ,"suppressAuthor":true before the curly bracket of each reference. ADDIN ZOTERO_ITEM {"sort":false,"citationItems":[{"itemID":"6005","suppressAuthor":t…
  • Foyles and Blackwells, two UK bookshops...
  • One problem, though, with using "Document" is that the different styles used handle it quite differently in the list of references. For the time being I find using "Book" most satisfactory. My comments are probably much more about the state of refer…
  • Thanks. The number is the name of the particular data set. With data sets being updated and made available as pre-releases, this becomes increasingly important. I guess I could include this in the title...
  • Cheers, must have missed this in the search...
  • If you want to use ibid. because you're over the word limit, have a word with whomever set that limit. If word limits include in-text citations, then this encourages sloppy referencing...
  • Yes, I would add these manually, but I don't seem to find an appropriate category... The way I handle data files at the moment is as I described, but none of the categories available seems to match my requirements... am I missing something?
