Hi Joscha, Great work, thank you. Remember I reported that some files don't get transferred? This doesn't seem to happen anymore, did you work on that? I am asking because otherwise I'll try to find some buggy files (didn't have time so far). …

Hi Joscha, sorry I haven't replied earlier. I still get some pdfs which are not moved by the plugin. I seem to be unable to find anything common to all of the failing ones, but I can offer to send you some of them. Let me know if you want that,…

and another quick thing: in the window asking whether one wants to overwrite files that are already on the reader (probably only exists in background mode?) allows "OK" and "cancel", and cancel actually moves only those that are not yet there. Might…

and, another question: I installed the zotero standalone, and installed zotfile. zotfile seems to be running in background mode (copies files, instead of making them links in zotero lib). I cannot change this, as there is nowhere to go to config in …

Hi Joscha, I've noticed that moving to the tablet fails sometimes. 1, I think when the pdf is a scan (sometimes the case with older literature), it is not moved. Thought it is because zotfile is trying to rename by looking for info in the fil…

and yet another idea: I realized that your extension might also solve another problem I have been reading about in the forums. Many people would like their attached files in one folder rather than in the 8-letter subfolders. You could add a functi…

well, this was exactly my thought, "useless". I cannot get this to work. As soon as I add a path, I get the message that username/password were not accepted. Since you say that it should not be zotero's fault, I suppose it's an issue with my server.…

Hi Joscha, yes, setting the option in about:config works as expected. It seems that zotfile gets confused about the files exported before the option change, so it seems one has to retrieve all files first and then make the change. With the bac…

sure, that was my first idea. However, it doesn't work: if I enter a path before the hard-coded "/zotero/", I get a message saying that my username/password weren't accepted. I guess it's because zotero tries to contact the entire address as server,…

Hi, this is a great solution. Many thanks. Using v2.0b3 downloaded from here, I have these problems on Win7, FF7.0.1: 1. when scanning the folder, a changed pdf is found, but clicking the option to move it back to zotero is without effect. 2…

Thanks for your reply. I think an rtf scan is second best. In Endnote, you can convert inbetween (for example, before you pass on the doc to a co-author), and then you have fields. The co-author uses the "track changes" in Word, so you want to wor…

this error is fixed with 2.1b5 many thanks!

no, it's not there. I tried updating the translators, but they are "up to date" in preferences.
-
I should have thought of that, sorry. For example: http://www.springerlink.com/content/t8t131x616374021/ http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/j.1469-8986.2010.00995.x/abstract It seems to me that those sites are affected that usual…

ok. The updating went ok (file was new), and after restarting Firefox, I can now import Science again. There was a bit of trouble with getting the pdf (worked for one data set at once, but only after some attempts for another), but that might also h…

with "doesnt do anything" I mean science still doesn't import.
-
mmh, doesn't seem to do anything for me.. after pushing the button, it took a while until it said "up to date", but can I check anywhere what the latest translator version is?
-
forgot to say: i'm using the beta version 2.1b2.

same problem here, on Windows 7, Firefox 3.6.13. the translator is Highwire 2.0, which worked ok on some other sites. Science did some facelifting recently, maybe that's why?
