• Success! In the accounts page, I asked the system to reverify my email address, and then I was able to make changes. I hope this helps people in the future.

• I had a similar problem. Now it is fixed. Skype extension 2.2.0.102 seemed to be causing the problem - when I disabled it, Zotero returned. This came with the recent Skype update.
