Thank you! Just installed it. I find OCR really useful for older books and all of those go directly into my Zotero library. And for newer publications, unprocessed scans people post on academia, etc. There's no need to re-invent the wheel with this…

@adamsmith @dstillman This would be great! Zotero already shows a preview, so I can see why it would be perhaps unnecessary or difficult to integrate a visual editor. What would make things much easier is being able to make small changes to the CSL…

In case this is useful to others, the key things I learned here was: • to get a blank space between bib entries, you want to add space between paragraphs, not add a carriage return • in the visual CSL editor, go to the right panel and locate Advance…

Great, I moved the sort element up and it validated. Weird that hastebin does that. Yes, now I am seeing the correct spacing with your code. This is what I was doing when I didn't see spaces: select three refs > Generate Bib from items... > c…

@adamsmith thanks for the code, but it still doesn't work - there are spaces in the between the entries in the Zotero preview, but not when I export to an RTF or Word file. it looks like you're removed the group with the block display. I had tried t…

So I cleaned up a few other things but I am back to square one: I can't get a blank line between entries, even after trying block display and the entry-spacing. Ideas?? Here's the code: https://hastebin.com/gumifuxezo.xml Thanks!

It looks great in Zotero's preview. I used the Visual CSL editor. But when it gets to Word, now there are two blank spaces (a carriage return at the end of the entry, a blank line, and then another carriage return). I tried changing the entry-spacin…

I was testing it in Word, linked through the Zotero plug-in. That's why it didn't work. When I deleted the style and reloaded in Zotero, and then refreshed the Word document, it worked great. thanks for the help!

That seems to be just what I was looking for! Except it didn't work. The bibliography looks the same, with no space between entries. Updated code: https://hastebin.com/okeletumor.xml Erik

Hi Dan – thanks for the links. This was exactly my issue. I was able to solve the problem with your "spaces.internet2.edu" workaround. I don't get how that works but it does. Thanks – now Zotero is much more awesome. Berkeley switched to EZproxy la…

I don't use security software and Zotero *should* have sufficient permissions. I'm no programmer, but to me it looks like Zotero can't find the file, which makes sense, because it never downloaded. I have been able to use the Chrome Connector to do…

Oops. It's D1395252392. That includes four failed attempts (for the first link above).

Well thanks for taking a look. Yes, you're right about it being a limited pay off, because I can already do a mostly-complete import with the Endnote X export format. The other problems I've having are on my end: custom reference types and poor libr…

Sure, no problem! Here are examples for 7 of the most common reference types. There are a total of 42 types (I don't use most of them). Take a look; if it's useful I can add the other types. https://gist.github.com/anonymous/a35edf9860c7ac3922640445…

Sente has become abandon-ware. There hasn't been support (or any explanations about what happened) for at least a year. More recently, their website and cloud servers went offline. So you will probably getting a lot more Sente posts! Maybe it's not …

I have also been trying to move my library from Sente to Zotero - there are four available export formats. The Endnote X format works better than BibTeX. Zotero does not recognize the SenteXML format. The Refer format works but it does not include a…

I am dealing with the same issue, but can't get Sente to export a file that includes the collection name. @bclausen - what export format did you use? Thanks!
