right. so, i am writer and reader enabled. i saved the plug-on to my desktop and dragged it into the startup word section... not sure if that is a viable way to do it, but it gave an option to 'authenticate' - i said yes... still not working…

Dan, Thanks for your help but I just dont know anymore. I've not upgraded to 4.0.1 firefox. i uninstalled zotero. I then started all over again, installed it, then tried again to add the word plug-ins, and the same thing is happening...…
