Citation style: I am working with an edited version of the style “Soziologiemagazin (Deutsch)” (based on APA style). I would like to achieve that the entries in the category “Series” (deutsch: “Reihe”) are NOT displayed in the bibliography. Unfort…

Thanks for your responses. I have NOT been activating "Store citation as bookmarks": https://s3.amazonaws.com/zotero.org/images/forums/u4419204/1wrndh1rnn846ev8bikl.png ...in order to save the document as .odt and by that solve a problem which I do …

I have noticed that a number of Zotero references are no longer active. So: They are not grayed out, and when I update the bibliography, they are not included. In the backup version I created 5 days ago, they are still active. I don't understand why…

Thank you for sending the link to the information pages. The second one in particular provides helpful insights and describes my issue more clearly. I still don’t know what caused the problem or why it occurred in about 90% of the cases in footnotes…

Sorry that I have to correct myself again! I've lost track of where my problem with the Zotero references appears in my long text. I am currently in the process of correcting them all manually by deleting the incorrect references in the gray square …

Addition: When going through the problem cases, I noticed that the problem only occurs in footnote text, not in the main text. So the problem seems to have something to do with footnotes. But that doesn't mean I understand it yet. -- Ergänzung: Be…

Thanks for the information. Good to know that this option (deactivating ibid. for individual citations) does not exist. In my concrete case, manual citation (without Zotero) is an unproblematic alternative because the source is already in the bibl…

Update: I thought my problem was already solved, but unfortunately it is not. I have found that the problem is not only caused by Zotero references, but also, for example, by inserting a new row. I was able to solve the problem by creating suitable …

Danke, adamsmith, das war der Hinweis, den ich gebraucht habe! :) In der Formatvorlage "Literaturverzeichnis" konnte ich die gewünschten Änderungen vornehmen. -- Thanks, adamsmith, that was the hint I needed! :) I was able to make the desired ch…

Thanks, but I'm happy with the hanging indent. Maybe the indent could be a little lower, but that's not a problem. My problem is the justified formatting. It causes the elements to be spaced out too much, resulting in large spaces between the elemen…

https://s3.amazonaws.com/zotero.org/images/forums/u4419204/8chpwuwppb51thejlgz5.png This is a screenshot of my list of sources. You can see that the justified text creates large gaps (red arrows). Of course, I can format the bibliography left-ali…

It was a case where I wanted to include a reference like: See newspaper XY from 19.04.2025. In this case the alternative does not work the same way. For lack of alternatives, I've done it this way anyway: See newspaper XY (2025). That's OK, but…

In most cases, the reason for the underlining was that I had changed the references manually. In these cases, the underlining could not be removed by refreshing. So I just went through these cases and re-inserted the references and did not change th…

Thanks, damnation, for the link! It contains important information for understanding, but doesn't answer all my questions. I use LibreOffice. The text document I am working on has about 400 pages. That's why I had deactivated the automatic update un…

Thank you for your comment. Good to know that it does not work with Copy&Paste. You are right, at least with Cut&Paste the citations are preserved.

Thank you already for your hints. I tried to reproduce this in a new document. It seems that the only solution to solve my problem is to change the mode of saving the references from "bookmarks" to "reference marks". Then I will not be able to use i…

Hello Prokrastinator93, with a few years delay: Thank you very much for your advice! Unfortunately, I'm still struggling with the same problems when using Zotero and LibreOffice. I have just followed your advice. I opened my text document with Li…

English translation of my post: Hello, I have come across an error that occurs due to automatic formatting settings. In parts of (e.g. social) scientific discourse, the so-called "gender asterisk" [*] is, after all, now widely established. [For co…

My problem is unfortunately not solved in LibreOffice either. My default setting in LibreOffice is: font size 12, font "Liberation Serif", no bold font. This is the setting when I create a new text document. But when I insert a Zotero reference to a…

Thank you for your comments! I will try it with LibreOffice.
