I have no idea why I used it, btw. Or why it worked for so long.

Fixed, thank you!

I just tried switching to Chicago, and the problem disappeared, so you might be right. Should I post the CSL code somewhere? Or the relevant lines?

What kinds of errors would upset Zotero in Firefox 64-bit but not in 32-bit or standalone?
-
I can wait a couple of days. So you think it's a Firefox problem, not a Zotero thing? I did just update my Firefox. Thanks for the reply! PS: My other custom style, which I built separately but is quite similar, doesn't seem to be having any is…

Thanks, that's very helpful! I'm a little afraid of disabling auto-sync, but I'll try it when things slow down. Definitely any help from the developers would be appreciated!

Zotero is never "zippy" for me, but when it's dreadful slow is when I'm running it with Word. It does seem to get worse the more coding goes into a document; I recently did a very large report in which instead of coding references, we were doing the…

It's only a 24-pager with maybe 30-40 references? Nowhere near what I'd consider large. My libraries are large - not full of PDFs but about 5000 records - but I don't think it should be this bad. Platform is Windows/Word.

Art. 10 is pages, indeed. Thanks! Fixed now.

Oh and one small detail: I can't just have it render DOI if it exists, and then URL, because when we have DOIs, we specifically *do not* want the URLs to show as well.
-
Duh, that was easy! Thanks!
-
I think I'm going to download emacs and try it myself. If I can't figure it out quickly enough, I'll be back in the morning. Thanks again, so much!
-
Yay! It works. Thank you! What did you do, so I can replicate it with my other two (also now-rejected) styles?
-
Odd; not sure what that means. But I did go and make sure there was a line break before every and that didn't make my style valid, per Zotero.

Here you go: git://gist.github.com/1839131.git

Did try re-installing, and just tried a new document after you suggested it. Nope, still bad. Has there been any change to the Zotero code in the last 24 hours that could've triggered this?
-
The only way Validator.nu shows an error, by the way, is if I uncheck the "be lax about HTML-Content-Type" box. Then I get this: IO Error: Non-XML Content-Type: text/plain.

Thank you! Worked perfectly.

Our international house style calls for single quotes rather than doubles around article titles, but even after coding the location as en-GB, I'm still getting double quotes. Any idea what I could do to make it render single quotes (and the doubles…

I've created one more style, for the journal Climate and Development (published by the Stockholm Environment Institute, where I work). The (CSL 1.0) code is here: https://gist.github.com/881932

No, that was me being overzealous. I tried with and without the group delimiter, with and without the prefix, and with both. The result is the same. I did just fix it, but in a way that suggests that a real bug exists. I knew that until I carved o…

I just saw the style is listed in the Zotero style repository, but with this notation: # * Climatic Change * [Install] * o 2011-03-09 00:28:59 o invalid Any idea what is invalid? It definitely wor…

Adam, I found another central place to keep my style, so I don't need to upload it -- though if anyone found it useful (or wanted to take code from it to enhance other styles), I'd be happy to share. But... I did create another style, based on …

My name is Ms. Massive Dolt. I added the abbreviation for my test item in one of my group libraries, but not in the one I actually used for the document. Or so I think at least... now that I corrected that, the original style is working.

No, I carefully changed it. But before I wrote the macro, the code called for just this: I adapted this style from the Oecologia style (upgraded to CSL 1.0 and tweaked a bit). If you just use Oecologia style -- which has that code with the "shor…

Is still working for people? I can't get it to work for me, using Zotero 2.1b7 and this macro to set the format:

I did a little more refining of my style, taking into account the comments/suggestions made here. Below is a link to the current version, which validates in 1.0 and seems to work like a charm. I was encountering a bug where it was tossing in a URL…

Happy to test it when you're ready! And thank you for taking care of it!

I agree with adamsmith's points. But I definitely do believe there's a place for "Web page." A considerable amount of important materials are posted online only these days -- especially on blogs, but also lots of government databases and such. Addin…
