• Ibid helps in case you are over the word-limit and cite books with two authors with long names:) or if you discuss some author´s ideas. But thanks for answers anyway.

• I am not sure that I understand - are you asking me which style I would like to use with ibid or which style actually uses ibid? First best would be ISO 690 Author-Date to be finished with ibid. Chicago is fine too.
