unfortunatly, this is an old problem in Zotero with RtL Languges. the software developers unwilling to solve it, or even reply to a question asking for a sulution!
-
reinstalling Zotero and the reinstalling the Ms WORD plugin from the references solved the problem for me.
-
same problem!
-
Thank you a lot.
-
i think the reason that Zotero delivers inverted parenthesis in RtL Languages is the same as the one preventing it from delivering Hindi numerals instead of Arabic numerals. Pls note that eastern Arabic countries uses Hindi numerals not Arabic numer…

This is an old problem in Zotero, and unfortunately, they are unable to solve it?!!!
-
Yes adamsmith, that's what i need to know
-
Thank you bwiernik, can you tell me please where exactly I insert this code in the style.
-
Thank you adamsmith, If i add it as an author, this will repeat the Wikipedia title in the bibliography as well. which is wrong. should i change the item type of the reference to some thing else rather than Encyclopedia Article?
-
The changes have been already accepted and processed in GitHub. When it's expected that they will be incorporated in Zotero?
-
Thank you Rintz. if i add parts as suggested in the customized CSL file, will it replace the the similar parts in the standard local file?
-
thank you. i proposed the change already. is there anyway to force it in my own Zotero installed in my PC?

Until now this problem is unsolved. However, i found a solution to fix the reversed parentheses in Rtl text citation in Ms Word. just select the citation text inserted by Zotero word plug-in and apply the "Rtl Run" Command. "Rtl Run" Command is a hi…

APA Style in Arabic. what should i do with the locator?
-
I couldn't find the language switcher in Zotero 5.0.5-beta.6 under the advanced preferences

i wonder if we can add to the particle list: "ابن", "ابو" and "بنت" in the names of authors only. they are separated particles from the names. they mean "the son of", "the daughter of" and "the father of". Many Arabic citation styles prefer to drop…
-
yes it is needed for authors and titles. thank you a lot
-
Its only one particle "ال". no capitalization and no hinting mechanism. the only way of dropping this particle, i think, is to tell the software to drop the two letters "ال" from any word starting with them. 99.99% of names starting with "ال" is sta…

No delimiter in Arabic between the particle and the name.
-
i changed it to "ar" in the item info, but nothing changed.
-
yes the language is specified "Arabic". I am using Chicago note style.
-
I agree with zuphilip
-
thanks damnation, its OK now. thanks bwiernik. the workaround is quite enough.

I just want the date to look like this 2017/1438. the first one is the Gregorian calendar and the other is the Hijri Arabic equal year date. Another important inquiry how can i make the citation and the bibliography start with the title of the boo…

Adding "strip-periods=“true”" solved the problem. thank you very much. Is there anyway to add an Arabic Hijri Calendar field in addition to the existing Gregorian calendar?
